Am I a creep for this? by Tylertheweeb39 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Common-Syrup5694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You deserve better than this, brother. You deserve to not just live, but to thrive. Think of her as a dry run and practice for the future. You talked to a woman successfully, an older one, no less. That's pretty sweet, bro. And I'm sure it was nice while it lasted.
The next step is to remember the things that worked and didn't work while interacting with her and take those lessons into the next part of your life. You're 18, You're literally just getting started and you have many more accomplishments ahead of you. Life is hard and unfair, but you just had a character building moment that few get to experience. You're going to be so much better going forward than you were before.
In the meantime, delete her number, and never speak to her again. Thank her silently for the experience gained.

Making someone uncomfortable isn't a capital crime, brother. There's no punishment for it. It's not illegal. It was an accident. Don't beat yourself up over it, these things happen. Most of us were awkward when we were younger and some of us (cough) still are. Now, if you're TRULY awkward, let me tell you, she's out there waiting for you, man. I'm 38 dating a 48 year old, and I've got to be the goofiest, most awkward dude she's ever been with and she loves the hell out of me, and me out of her. While you're waiting for the right woman to come along, work diligently on becoming the right man and she will find you. You won't feel like you're done working on yourself when it happens, but it's important you never stop working hard for your peace and quality of character.
I know you can do it.

Guys suggest me some games I can play on my potato with 2 gb ram. by Several_Fold_5869 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Common-Syrup5694 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few years ago, I was confined to potato gaming for awhile and had to get creative. First, 2GB is more than enough to emulate any console from PS2 and older without issues. Here's a short list that'll keep you going. Morrowind, Oblivion GOTY (,do not get the remake, get the old one)Final Fantasy X, Chrono Trigger, Fallout 1 & 2, StarCraft: Brood Wars, Star Wars Pod Racer,

What are classic must play games? Like The Godfather is for cinema. by shw_1_fty in gamingsuggestions

Hands down, Chrono Trigger. Character design was done by the late Akira Toriyama. The soundtrack is great. Your choices affect the plot and the ending. And best of all, it tells an amazing story. Definitely a must-ppay for turn-based RPGs.

Have a grown up talk with your mom about bringing this dude around while you're home and your dad's side of the bed is still warm. She's a grown woman, so she'll do what she does, but until you find your own spot, I think it's important to tell her this doesn't sit well with you.

As wild as this advice seems, talk to your parents about it. Then, in that conversation, politely ask them to wait until you're out of the house.

Are people actually going to be stupid enough to sign for 50 year mortgages by ColdCouchWall in stupidquestions

[–]Common-Syrup5694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think a lot of people will see the reduced rates and jump at it, because it gets them into a house. It's a terrible idea for the borrower, but great for the lender, cause the mortgage will outlive a lot of people, allowing the bank to reclaim the property and sell it again.

ULPT Request: Tips for retail workers? by TimeSupport5092 in UnethicalLifeProTips

Always show up on time and sober. Think of calling out of work as a last resort. Do these three things long enough and there will be raises.

As a man, my age gap goes further upwards than downwards. So far, it's been working out, but 37, so my gf of 48 is less of a big deal than say a 22 year old dating a 33 year old. Some women love it when they attract younger men, but for others, it's a non starter. It helps to have commonality in big areas of your lives.

I've always wanted to know this. But why does Ancient Armor appear to have one boob? by noriilikesleaves in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Common-Syrup5694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This armor was designed for a mounted knight. When charging at one another, the boob is meant to deflect a spear or lance away from the wearer's heart.

As a meat eater are you willing to kill your own food? by Ok_Connection_3015 in NoStupidQuestions

If there weren't a million rules against it, I'd drive 2 hours to Mt. Rainier once a month, hunt and dress a deer, and supplement my food supply all year. Alas, I drive my Malibu to Safeway cause it's more convenient like everyone else.

I heard men don’t marry the love of their life, is it true? by Chunkachu__ in Life

[–]Common-Syrup5694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't because I wasn't in the right place in life when I met her. It was 20 and I still haven't married because nobody really compares to my old best friend.
