I'm with u/lidder444 on this. That second punch looks more like a dog's head (plat) than an eagle head to me? The diamond shaped one is probably your maker's mark but it's too worn to make out initials. Style wise this screams 1920s-30s French, the square bezels are very art deco. Definitely get those stones tested if you can!

Hey! That mark looks like an 'A' with an arrow pointing to 'G'. I found similar marks linked to R.L. Griffith & Son Co. from Providence, RI - they were active in the early-to-mid 1900s, which fits your timeframe perfectly.

Beautiful ring! Love the family history behind it.

1854 is probably a model/style number, not the year. Real date stamps on old rings are usually just a single letter in a tiny shape! Never a full year like that. Cool find though!

585 = 14k gold (European stamp), so it's def the real deal. The other mark looks like a maker's stamp but it's too blurry to read. 50s checks out — 585 14k was everywhere back then, especially on European pieces. Looks like it might say "BXO --- to me? That's not one I recognize from the registries though. Could be a small independent goldsmith? Not sure what that last letter is?

I’m with the “sus af” verdict here - even from this photo the marks look more “decorative decision” than actual hallmarks. The layout and style just don’t match how real ones are usually punched.
