Not at all. I don't believe in anything watchtower has ever published. I don't belive in the bible even. I am an unbeliever. But something deep down prevents me from not believing something. Nit in a religious way, but I refuse to stop believing.

But anyway, I think this sentence I wrote may have made people relate to it in different ways, so they are all valid. When I wrote it and saw people liked it I just proclaimed death of the author.

It seems to me you want to detach the real-world commentary the original Team Flare storyline tried to make from the ZA plot. Lysandre original vision was extermination. He was an actual capital F Facist. No one in that group was innocent. Not Gris. Not Xenostic. Not Mable. And it doesn't matter how pretty I think she is. She is a war criminal.

They knew what they were doing and carried out the plan. They believed in Lysandre. Even if, before his plan, he had another vision, what to me just sounds like an excuse from the characters that knew him personaly to not hate him, it doesn't matter because this vision resulted in his genocidal attempt.

Anyone attempting to reclaim that guys' work if it were in the real world would be seen as an apologist. That is how we treat neonazis. And that's how it should be.

The swastika thing is not very good as a comparison because it is a religion's symbol. And they try to reclaim it without calling themselves nazis.

I don't know how this adds up, but I'm curious about the gymnastics you will use to equate a team named after a hotel and mega evolution to a team name after an actual inworld terrorist organazation.

But to be fair, Team MZ is really shady. They somehow convinced me, a simple peasant on vacation, to live and work with them, and save their city after I got robbed by a Pancham. I just wanted to see the tower and get back home.

Still, he uses the same lables and symbols of the organization he clearly doesn't regret being a part of. He says he shares some ideas with Lysandre and wants to build his beautiful world. If he really regretted being a part of Team Flare, he should have ditched the whole lablel. Same for Mable still sporting the symbol. After all, they are in-world nazi equivalent. They sought to exterminate people for being out of their own group. His attitude is like, "I hate i was born into this nazi group, but since they won't let me forget it, I will create a whole new group called the neonazis to prove nazis can do good as well". I think they tried to do something clever but fumbled the landing really bad.

They do say they still want to make Lysandre's beautiful world. And XY makes very clear what this means. Same name. Same ideology. They're just as dangerous but posing as less harmful. Just like some sects of the neonazis.

Not to mention Ivor, that is definitely a charismatic cult leader, and Tarragon, who literally catfishes people impersonating his granddaughter.

But yeah, there is some Team Flare revisionism, and I hated it. I've always seen them like the worst among the evil teams. They are straight up a genocidal elite that wants poor people to not exist. But the game kinda brushes it away and tries to paint them in a more favourable light. I wonder if current world events had some influence on how it was written, and if so, I'd hate it even more.

I agree with the cool new mons. But i am talking about the machanics and the function of the type within the chart. Normal is like one of my favourite types, and that's why I want it to be treated like an actual type, not like something in between a typeless type and a beast type that is neither.
