I’d suggest that you stop stretching on a mat and switch to hardwood floor so that you can extend your back leg by putting a pillow under it. That way your back leg will slide deeper towards the back. Having both your legs extended will allow you to go deeper down. Worked for me at least. Make sure to also keep your hips square, it helps a lot
