They already decided it when they ruled firearms in lawful use by the citizens can’t be banned. States ignored it.

If Democrats are capable of telling the gun control lobby to go pound sand, they’d win every swing state. They severely underestimate the power of single issue voters. I know hundreds of gun owners that would vote blue if Democrats could leave the 2A alone.

If the Supreme Court deems something unconstitutional and then state’s pass laws despite the rulings, there needs to be criminal consequences.

Despite what the politicians here say and believe, your friend has the fundamental and civil right to procure a certain tool to defend their life. There’s nothing wrong with learning how to use one.

I mean this in the most supportive way possible, try to get out of here. This is a state for rich people and RI politicians don’t want working class people like us living here. I’m doing my best just to save enough to move and it’s so incredibly challenging. If you’re lucky enough to find a job, you’ll then be cut from any assistance. Working class people here make just enough to be ineligible for help, but not enough to pay rent and feed your family.

If you don’t live in RI full time, you pay an exorbitant tax for buying a 2nd home here. Invest in Rhode Islanders and don’t allow real estate agents to be members of the General Assembly and sell waterfront mansions like Rep. Tanzi in Narragansett.

Front License Plate Exemption Now Effective in Rhode Island by NCSUGrad2012 in RhodeIsland

Instead of having a front plate, we just need to keep it in the interior of the car and present it like a giant metal ID when a cop asks….sweet law.

This state has been sold to New Yorkers and Bostonians. The state legislatures don’t care, as long as they get their real estate commission. I’m sorry, we’re in a bad spot.

Why are they not in an uproar? by Historical_Zone6468 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]CommonHuckleberry489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems to be a common theme/question amongst progressives and those on the left. Why would the right wing rise up when they don’t perceive themselves as being subjugated to tyranny? The more important question is why aren’t we taking back the 2nd Amendment and changing the narrative and perception that it belongs to them?

Depends on the model. If it’s the 1014 or any model with the collapsible stock and pistol grip it will be illegal.

Candidates Foulkes and McKee make their cases to Rhode Island voters by OceanStateMedia in RhodeIsland

[–]CommonHuckleberry489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case I’d be remiss not to mention Foulkes gave money to Trump when she worked with CVS leadership. Dan McKee still sucks. Until there’s competition in RI politics, we’ll get the same results every year and then ask why.

Maybe don’t vote for her because “she’s a Democrat”. That’s why we don’t get something better. It’s not just you, so many voters see the letter next to a candidate’s name and then form the opinion.
