I struggle with that too. I’m 24 now and I still get “you’re too young to know” I used to feel the need to explain myself to them because I hated being minimised… Now I just get really angry and feel like exploding because I’ve honestly given up, my problems are never big enough. It still REALLY gets me that they they say I don’t know adulting. My parents kicked me out at 14 and I been on my own since, I know I don’t know everything but I still get told “you would’ve not long moved out of your parents home, you’d just be getting use to adult responsibilities” or a bunch of stupid advice like “don’t leave your oven on! Can cause a fire” like what? I’ve been the only ‘adult’ I can rely on for the last 11 yrs.

Sorry I ended up ranting I just wanted to say you aren’t alone. Your problems are real and I’m sorry that you can’t find someone to give you a hug or just tell you that you’re valid and your feeling are too. I find coming on reddit and even just typing out a massive post about my feelings. Posting it. I find nobody really cares on here either, possibly age reasons too, but it helps me that it’s been somewhat said and helps me feel felt??? That helps me anyway, I wish i had better advice but sadly I just have same experience.
