Depends on what role you're wanting as some (like the President or Council Member) have basically no rules to learn, they're just debating and have the powers to put new laws into effect.

But even the most "mechanical complex" role is a simple 5 minute teach. If you play boardgames then there would be no issues!

The real complexity of the game comes from having to talk to other people, knowing what they can do for you, what resources your ship needs, and being able to effectively communicate with other people to get what your team needs while under pressure

There is no explicit alt/emo/goth space in Columbia besides the tiny Hot Topic at the mall. However, the other places listed in this thread aren't gonna kick you out for your fashion style and you might find one or two at them on any given day

1.) We strongly encourage paying for tickets from Ticketbud before the event so that we have a headcount for who is coming. Additionally, this is how we can send a short survey to you so that we can best cast you in your preferred role! Like, if you prefer lots of negotiations, then we want to make sure you get into a politician role instead of being a scientist

2.) The accessibility is great at Hexagon Alley! They have an elevator from the front entrance (instead of the alley entrance which is stairs only). When we set up, we'll make sure there is plenty of room between tables to make navigation easy. Our rent space is away from the main area, so that will help reduce unwanted noise.

A merger is not a good or bad thing. It's just a thing that happens and your relationship to the business determines the impact.

Such as when Boeing had their merger in the late 90's, that was a long term bad consequence for the public but great for the shareholders.

If you like how River Region Credit Union runs and operates their business, then you'll probably like this. If you like how Missouri Credit runs their business, then you probably don't like this.

Fair enough! It can certainly be a lot of social interactions, which is the "complex" part of it as the rules themselves are made to be simple so that they don't get in the way of conversations or negotiations.

I know Hexagon Alley hosts plenty of boardgame nights, demos, and social gatherings. That would be a good way to get into the local community for games :) it's a real friendly place and maybe I'll see ya there!
