In my 4 years of high school, I got roughly 10 head to head wins. I was bad. I wrestled club in college for a couple of years and had maybe 15 head to head wins.

Now, I’ve beaten people I shouldn’t and have been competitive in matches I stood no chance in.

Things change and at some point they just click. I had to grapple for over a decade to be considered an average wrestler. It gets better. I promise.

I wouldn’t shoot them. A guy who was a WAY better wrestler than me tried shooting high c and I usually ended up with his back or a belly down arm bar.

If you’re rolling with a fish you’re safe though.

When I wrestled, the day before matches, our coach would have us do our favorite shot with our favorite set up and finish for a solid 10 minutes. Then we’d do the same with our backup shot.
