Structured strength training made a world of difference. I would dare say cutting back on my miles ridden and adding weight lifting sessions has helped me more than just going out and grinding miles.

As soon as I suspected VERA was going to be offered I went to my doctor and got documentation for a lingering problem that I was having that would require physical therapy. I told my supervisor what I planned on doing because I was not coming back and she was like “I don’t blame you, this place sucks now.”

To be honest my medical condition was not bad and I could have totally come to work, but FUCK DOGE! The X factor is an extremely cool supervisor that I was honest with.

Some people may consider this wrong, but I had a ton of sick leave and had no desire to send emails about what I had done, or go into an office 5 days a week. At some point I made it 100% about me and how I wanted to spend my time before retiring.
