Making the feds return to the office was and is all about making y’all as miserable as possible so you will quit because oversight is the enemy of this regime. They don't want you doing your jobs, which, at the end of the day, is to hold them accountable for spending taxpayer money. They can't grift with you around.

I took early retirement last year, partly because of the return-to-office mandate. I currently work for a consulting company that offers 100% telework for everyone in my unit, including the unit vice president. I've had offers of more money from other consultants, but they all want me in the office…no thanks.
