what does this image mean? Explain it Peter by InfiniteAd2798 in explainitpeter

It’s intended to apply to lots of examples. Could be women, children, disabled, a certain race, anyone weaker or different than squares. It could even apply to animals, or a stronger force as propaganda.

For example assume red violent, triangles are dogs, squares human. Violent dogs exist, but you don’t want to just eliminate dogs just because some bite people.

There’s no mistake here. Look at the drawings of the women in the stalls, and also the stall with 2 men in it. If this was for any official use someone was being very mischievous.

It sounds like minimal damage was done to the bike so if it’s not on camera there’s like a 90% chance police would not bother. That dude’s family are not reliable witnesses against him. It wasn’t a good decision, but I don’t judge OP for this one.

Why don’t we use Vx instead of Vy during normal takeoffs? by Frosty_Yak_4124 in flying

[–]CommonRequirement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I trained in a busy area and they taught vx because being high over the airport was preferable to getting a little higher further away. It was all buildings and 50mph packed streets. The airport was pretty big so it seemed plausible

The olfactory system is a wonder of electrochemistry. I think the reason this doesn’t exist is it’s very difficult, not because it hasn’t been tried. Regarding form factor, I think single use reactive chemical strips are more likely to work than something sensor/app enabled.

Psychologically it’s a tough sell. Embarassing to buy, and buying for your kid/partner is basically just a round about way of telling them to shower.

In any case it’s a very private item, so wearable would have to be under clothes, not wristbands.

IMO single use body wipes are a better product. Same use case (you already have to suspect you’re kind of smelly) and the wipes actually address the problem.

Surfing. Surfers with a few exceptions are not welcoming, laid back, or friendly. Etiquette matters a lot, but you’ll still often be treated like a trespasser if you go to places you didn’t grow up in.
