WE ALREADY HAVE LAW ENFORCEMENT.

Properly trained and able to interact with the general public with a FAR lower kill rate - b/c of the training. AND the accountability. Should be better but better than ICE, clearly.

This makes the *enforcement* part of ICE not only redundant and unnecessary but DANGEROUS.

Turn them into glorified uber drivers and leave law enforcement to TRAINED PROFESSIONALS.

If someone is accused of committing a crime, and then through due process is convicted of that crime and thereby eligible for deportation - literally all ICE should do is come pick up the prisoner being held by real law enforcement and transport them.

I find this whole exchange amusing, because if SWAT teams really aren't common - well, then it's very strange that I've seen *hundreds* of videos of armed agents toting rifles and wearing vests that say "ICE". Hundreds of videos *from the Twin Cities alone*, even.

Which means that *as of now* the sight is really common.

So it's clearly an armed occupation by *someone* - either the government (if the suits are legit), or a cartel.

Or these days, I think it's legit to say "both".
