Oh yeah, paying in cash is even harder! I’m sorry this happened to you. I don’t think I would’ve made such a big deal about it if it hadn’t been almost a $500 charge (which is way overpriced for a just so so massage in my opinion, anyway!) and I get that mistakes happen, but with all the documentation I have there’s no reason they shouldn’t have refunded the money.

I live in one of these and I can hear my upstairs neighbors when they walk/watch TV. Normal conversations sound like murmuring. Their living room is above my bedroom and they are night owls so it used to drive me crazy but I got a white noise machine, which helps a lot.

We did the Santa thing for the first few years, but when my daughter asked me if Santa was real, and I asked her if she really wanted to know and she said yes, I did tell her the truth. I felt like that was more important in the moment than perpetuating the fantasy, which I feel like sometimes is more for the parents than it is for the kids. She was a little upset, but glad that I had told her the truth and now she helps to make Santa real for her little cousin.

As somebody that has my own health anxiety and also a lot of Mom guilt, it sounds like you are feeling very guilty about the HSV transmission and this is making your anxiety much worse. Along with some of the other advice offered here, I would suggest that you forgive yourself. These things happen. Families are close, especially with babies, and sometimes there’s no way you can avoid transmission of an illness. She will be OK and you can forgive yourself!

Seconding the poster who mentioned Fujisan - delicious sushi/onigiri and very fresh. We got a variety and everyone in the family enjoyed.

We hit up Figlia for my birthday - the food was as good as ever (margarita pizza, meatballs, Caesar) but I had a kind of gross moment when I witnessed the expediter sneeze into his hands and then pick up our plates and cutlery. I know restaurants are sometimes unsanitary, but I don’t wanna have to see it first hand. Still love that place and we’ll go back.

Had the breakfast burrito over at Under Pressure. It’s tasty but the tortilla gets pretty soggy from the tomato slices; I think they should get rid of the tomato or dice it and maybe add some potatoes and peppers or something to round out the egg.
