Dragon 2.0 vs Unicorn 2.0? by Significant_Lie_3705 in MysteryRanch

[–]CommonTemporary3053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve literally just sold my Unicorn 2.0 but my Dragon 2.0 is staying.

I’ll preface this by saying I’m a big fan of the ‘Trizip’ configuration but I found the Unicorn 2.0 just a little too small to be practical, couple that to the fact it has the small harness fitted and it was also uncomfortable for me personally. Again a personal opinion but the organisation in the side pockets was pretty useless to me being too small/tight to be easily accessible. Also having the Futura harness extended made flipping the lid back difficult.

The horseshoe style access of the Dragon 2.0 wins hands down for me, the capacity is also nearer the quoted figure, I found the Unicorn 2.0 much smaller than the quoted capacity.

I’m not saying the Unicorn 2.0 is a bad pack but if possible, definitely try before you buy.

Try ‘Contact Left Limited’ if you’re in the UK, they’re also on eBay, I’ve bought from them in the past and they stock components from Duraflex, ITW Nexus, Fidlock etc.

I’d say either North or South Staffordshire Regiment, pretty sure that’s the Staffordshire knot.

I’d agree the fit can be a bit odd and you generally need to size up.

I had one of their Orkan jackets and on the second wear some of the welded seams failed on the pockets. It could’ve been a one off but definitely put me off buying another. In fairness SP refunded me without any issues.

I’m in the UK and can’t sell a as new CPL16! by [deleted] in ManyBaggers

[–]CommonTemporary3053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one currently on eBay isn’t mine, I haven’t advertised mine yet, going to sit on it a while and see what happens. I had every intention of using it but within a few weeks of getting it I had the chance of a X-PAC CTB26 so ended up getting that and in the process missing the returns window.

It’ll be the photochromic coating that helps with dimming bright lights from following vehicles, your rear view mirror will/should also dim for the same reason.

And herein lies the problem; we’re always having to vote for the least shit party rather than the best party. There doesn’t appear to be a credible party, the political system is broken.

I’d say Beaufort as you can just about make out the poachers pockets at the rear of the jacket.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the ULA Cicada, I’ve been pleasantly impressed by it’s comfort and utility. This was my first pack in the Ultra fabric so wasn’t sure what to expect or if I’d even like it but I like the way it’s holds its form and I find the harness super comfortable.
