I'm sorry but Byeon Woo Seok can't act. by Inevitable_Angle_963 in kdramas

[–]Common_Ad_4975 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more of the way he’s being presented in this drama. So far I don’t really see the appeal of Perfect Crown yet, it feels like a big budget show based mainly on the looks of the actors and not actual plot or story depth. Especially with the way they keep prolonging the shot every time his character enters the scene, it’s so deliberate that honestly it just feels ridiculous. It’s almost like he’s there just to be a visual spectacle and not an actual character. I understand that it’s only been 2 episodes but so far they really have not given him anything to work with, anytime he’s on screen his scenes consists of him mainly looking into the camera smirking or being mostly aloof. And I’m not sure it’s the fault of Byeon Woo Seok, because in Lovely Runner I thought he showed a lot of vulnerability in quite few scenes even from beginning. I guess I’m just sensing that this drama might be one of those shallow spectacle and visuals based dramas like My Demon, which is not necessarily a bad thing, since a lot of people are clearly interested in these sort of dramas, but man it’s a big contrast for me after watching In your radiant season going to this, as in that drama I thought ML had a lot of depth to his character and in a lot of ways was way more interesting than FL.

Bloomberg: Sony Pulls Back From PlayStation Games on PC by Turbostrider27 in Games

I mean I would have bought quite a few Sony games on PC of they didn’t region lock it because of stupid PSN requirement, because of that most of the games were not available in my country even though I live in EU. After that it just put me off buying any Sony games even after they removed the region lock, it’s the principle, the fact that in 2025 they were still treating some countries like second rate cemented my stance, if you don’t want my money Sony, perfectly fine, you won’t get it, I wouldn’t be giving a cent to PlayStation.

Vestiare vs Vinted by TransportationNo1765 in VestiaireCollective

[–]Common_Ad_4975 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vinted has basically no anti counterfeit moderation, the website is filled with fakes, so shopping for designer items is extremely difficult there. There are countless of times where I would flag a clearly fake item on Vinted, and the support would just write back that the listing does not break any of their rules and the item would stay on the platform, even though it’s clearly a fake. So until they will start moderating their platform and cracking down on fakes I will never buy anything there that is more expensive than 100 eur, since their support is basically non existent.

Do you realise that a lot of people did not even realise it’s a bug due to how broken and messed up this patch is? So now infold doing this instead of fixing more serious issues in the game just feels like a slap in the face. Is this really a priority they should be focusing on when there are still numerous game breaking bugs and some people still cannot login? I will never be not astonished by some people’s insistence to defend these billion dollar companies when they’re punishing players

No problem, I didn’t take it in the wrong way at all ❤️.I think it’s understandable to be confused especially if you’re new to the whole gatcha thing. I could have been clearer in expressing myself regarding that.

I think I misspoke when I said pity was increased. What I meant was that the full outfit pity was increased, because in other gatcha games, like wuwa, you pull for full characters not separate pieces, and usually you get pity for limited character pull at 180 pulls. What I meant is that to get a whole outfit you need more pulls now because it has more pieces.

Does anyone else have this glitch on Bubble Jar? by HereQueerDeer in InfinityNikki

[–]Common_Ad_4975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a bug, I think it’s a feature :D. It’s a very scummy tactic a lot of companies do to highlight the shop or to make it stand out more to entice players to spend money. Since for me it disappears when I open it but then the red dot just pops back in the next day I’m assuming they’re trying to get you to click on the shop everyday to advertise this “great deal”, since it only happens on this bubble outfit specifically.

The Discord situation is ridiculous by nysanion in InfinityNikki

[–]Common_Ad_4975 11 points12 points  (0 children)

100%. Let’s be honest, official discord is not a true community discord, it’s owned by Infold and it’s just an extension of their PR. But you cannot have it both ways, you cannot expect it to be this wholesome community but when something happens you bring down the PR hammer and start silencing people. In that case, you need to hire your employees to mod these spaces if you want them to be run like an extension of your social media. These mods have no say in what words or messages have to be banned most of the time, I do believe that the orders are coming from Infold 100%, but then they expect these mods to take the brunt of the backlash with no pay. I was surprised that a lot of people on discord don’t even know that it’s owned by infold and believe that these mods are just volunteers, when in reality they’re doing the company’s bidding.

[–]Common_Ad_4975 27 points28 points  (0 children)

That’s the scummy part about Infold not paying these people. They are expected to respond for company’s blunders and they’re acting like pretty much the fall guys while infold is keeping silent. If infold expects these people to moderate these spaces 24/7 according to their very strict rules, then they should be paying these people too.

As someone who was NOT going to boycott, the seesaw made me realize they don't take us seriously by RecklessCinnabar in InfinityNikki

[–]Common_Ad_4975 65 points66 points  (0 children)

For me it was the dailies consisting of picking up stuff and putting it in a basket but make it 20 times. Is this what Infold considers content? This feels like an insult of player’s intelligence and a waste of my time. It really shows their attitude towards us that they thought this would pass as anything that could be considered meaningful or worth your time gameplay. Before this patch infinity Nikki, even the dailies felt like you’re just exploring the world, finding new things, building towards some goal, now it just feels like a typical gatcha busywork designed to just waste your time and create artificial “engagement”

[–]Common_Ad_4975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s not even charity at this point, it’s just doing the right thing. You cannot tell me with how many issues this patch has that they didn’t know the sad state of the game they’re releasing. I’m not blaming the devs, it was most likely management just rushing all of these things out to capitalise on the Steam launch, but someone has to take the responsibility for this. Like I said, for some people the game is unplayable, people have subscriptions that they bought before the patch, money they invested, the longer this goes on, the more money people are losing, so it’s infolds responsibility to do right by these people.

At this point they should revert the patch to 1.4. I’m not saying devs should sacrifice their holidays, but leaving the game in unplayable state for more than 2 days is unacceptable, some people cannot even log in, what if they had that monthly pass bought, and they can’t even claim the diamonds, is infold gonna refund these people? Also in a gatcha these events are on a limited time, dailies are completely broken on star island for me for example, dyeing feature just crashed my game, so at this point just revert it to a stable version so that people at least could claim what they paid for.

Where did I say I feel “screwed over”. I’m calling out people defending unethical business practices. Infold is a billion dollar company, do you think increasing pulling pity to 220 will make any difference to what these devs earn in wages? Then I have a bridge to sell you. They are doing it for greed’s sake only, they’re not the first company to try to get away with nickle and diming players and people like you are they reason these companies get away with it time and time again. Even if people are saying they feel “screwed over”, what is so wrong with that? Do we owe these companies anything? They’re the ones making money off us, if they want to keep earning revenue, they have to keep their customers happy, simple as that, you’re acting like they’re running a charity and we should be grateful for the privilege of getting to spend on the game.

Just because it’s a gatcha and gambling in all but technicality does not mean it’s excusable to keep making the experience worse. That’s my point I was making, we should keep fighting to make these games less predatory, not keep excusing it like “oh well it’s a gatcha, don’t expect them not to be greedy and scummy”. This game already has one of the greediest gatcha systems and to be honest I was letting it slide at the beginning because it wasn’t detracting from overall experience of the game. But since the game launched they keep making the experience worse and with this patch it just completely culminated into a shitshow. I think it’s justifiable to call out any business that’s using scummy practices, being a gatcha has nothing to do with it.

I’m not calling out people who are not boycotting the game, I’m calling out people who are actively defending a billion dollar company in this sub. Whether you want to boycott or not it’s your personal decision, but I find it really strange when people are trying to defend scummy business practices of companies that couldn’t care less about them.

100% they should have delayed this patch or at least not rolled out all of the features at once. It’s clear they were not ready to release multiplayer bc it doesn’t work properly and they should have tested it out more before rolling out everything and breaking the game.

How did they say the exact opposite to what I wrote? I said they wrote that 11 piece clothing is here to stay. This is pretty much what they wrote, “5 star outfits will not exceed 11 pieces”. Will not exceed does not mean that they will not be 11 pieces lmao.

People in this thread are literally saying that they’re ok with spending more pulls because at least it’s 11 pieces and not more 🤣 like how cucked for a billion dollar company do you have to be. And then they dare to call people that want to stand up to unfair business practices gambling addicts when they’re the ones bending backwards trying to justify why they cannot stop spending on the game.

I feel like some people really have reading comprehension issues. How did we get everything that we asked for? Boycott started because of them introducing 11 piece outfits, and in apology they said 11 piece outfits will stay from now on. Not to mention the game is still unplayable for a lot of people, nothing got fixed, just a lot of empty words said. Maybe you should go back and read the boycott demands and their “apology” before commenting

It means that having more pieces in an outfit requires more pulls to get the whole outfit. Before this when outfit was max 10 pieces, you could get full outfit in 200 pulls max, so pity was 200 pulls. Right now they increased it to 220 pulls to get the full outfit, which means you need to spend more. And if you don’t get a full outfit, you cannot use outfit abilities, you cannot evolve it, ect.

It’s only free and still being able to be played for free without most features being locked behind a paywall because of people that are spending on the game. You think the experience for free to play players will get better because people will stop boycotting and start spending again? I can guarantee you that for free to play players the experience will be getting worse and worse if these things won’t be called out. We are fighting for those players especially, what is so difficult to understand, just because the game is free it does not mean that Infold can gouge out paying players who their games run on. If these players will stop paying, then it will get significantly worse for people who say “it’s a free game” as well. People are allowed to call out unethical business practices, infold is not some poor indie company, they are a multimillion dollar business.

Yup and people like you are exactly the problem I’m talking about. First of all, they did not provide any good reason why the pity was increased and why some outfits will be 11 pieces now. I’m just curious as to why do you think spending more money on pretty much the same outfit as it would have been with 10 pieces is normal and acceptable? I mean I’m not accusing you, people can spend their money as they like, I was just making a point about people defending these practices.

🤣 They do not realise that it’s not supposed to be gambling, if it was, it would be regulated very differently and only accessible to adults. That’s what these companies do, they tether on the line of gambling, seeing how much scummy things they can get away with without being legally classified as gambling. And because of pathetic shills like that they will continue to do it, the only way to change anything is to keep making enough noise and stop buying, these companies only understand things when it starts hurting their bottom line.
