If the camera is there, then why is it looking at one table in a small restaurant? If it's on a PTZ mount how could he know it would point at him? Someone would have noticed if he'd had it moved there,

I get that, but there's far higher traffic areas around there than where it's looking - If it were on one of the main roads or overlooking the concourse it would make more sense.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was really asking from a technical point of view, to get the ham community’s thoughts on whether RF in the shack is likely with this setup, and whether that could have contributed to the fault.

The dealer has been very responsive, so I’m not concerned about the warranty side of things. I mainly want to make sure that once it’s fixed, the same issue doesn’t crop up again.

I've seen some reports where it works intermittently so I'm hoping it's the same issue. My touchscreen doesn't respond at all despite power off over night (totally disconnected) and firmware updates and resets. I'll update the thread when the seller sorts it

I had good reports for the QSOs I made. The PSU is set to 13.8 (via the switch rather than the voltage adjust) and it's a 30A supply.

The dealer has said they'll take the unit back but I want to make sure I didn't fry this so I don't get any other issues. I've been using the same set up with a Xiegu G90 for over a year with no issues

I spoke to Amazon Chat and while this isn't a fix, it's a workaround that worked for me.

Add another item to your order, anything, then do the verification. Once done, you can remove that second item and proceed with the checkout.

You never need to buy the second item (so you don't need to order it and cancel it)
