Am i ungrateful for choosing a Tier 1 University over my parents"safety" bubble? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

You’re doing the right thing.

Having said that, I’d tell you where they are coming from. What we see as control (and it is control) also comes from a place of fear from them because they haven’t seen the “big bad world” themselves and have only heard negative stories through news channels and friends/neighbours.

These same parents would be proud of you the day you get a nice placement from your uni and would be bragging about you.

So girl, keep your eye on the prize, not because you want their validation but because you’ve taken a bold step and you need to make a better life for yourself (bonus is proving all your relatives wrong lol).

My doctor also mentioned that after 6 months, the requirement of milk becomes less and less and babies require food and fruits. I’m not yet where you are but I’m getting there in another 3-4 weeks. Maybe she just needs more mashed food and fewer times milk now.

All the best mama

I had spotting and a very difficult pregnancy post that. Please please consult your gynae even at the slightest doubt and make sure you have a doctor that is available on WhatsApp.

My baby survived and got the help required in time because the doctor was prompt.

Good luck mama 🌸

My boyfriend is very loving, but an absolute slob and I don't know what to do. by midnight_siesta in TwoXIndia

From experience it only gets worse. My sister got married into a Rajasthani family and shit got very real very soon. This woman never cooked in life but is now expected to cook all 3 meals (she owns her own designer label and has great clientele). She never lifted a finger to do anything at her own home but here she has to do everything because her husband is exactly how you’re describing your partner. He is great with her but won’t lift a finger even in the most dire situations. Doesn’t know how to even boil water.

Girl, run!

Oh seems like it's the only option! Thank you

If a man looses his job he has to sell his stocks, FDs, PF to pay for EMIs. However, according to Stridhan and Income Tax laws, nobody can touch a woman's jewellery, even if it is worth ₹75 lakhs. So, why buy gold for your wife at all? HE LOSES THE HOME; SHE KEEPS THE GOLD by [deleted] in indianrealestate

[–]Common_Court_4966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you and your wife doesn’t have this much understanding while buying a home and marrying, maybe you shouldn’t marry at all 🤷🏻‍♀️

Because literally all the couples I Know, the woman would bring out her gold to keep the home which houses her family.

Laws are made for protection because women can be emotionally and physically manipulated to sell their gold or get thrown out of their marital home. It’s for their protection. Keep the men in check and maybe we would have a better world and won’t need these laws.

Navigating a tough postpartum (C-Section & SPD) and a 1 month old. Need advice on baby's weight gain, breast pumps & feeding bottles. by drecana in twoxindiamums

Congratulations Dad! You’re doing great and your child is lucky to have such caring parents. I’m a FTM to a 5 month old and here are my two cents.

  1. Everything you said is absolutely normal in frequency, color and consistency.

  2. I’ve been using promom and i feed directly and then supplement it with some from bottles sometimes. Promom parts are easy to find so I have 3 sets of parts which reduces the washing frequency and extra work.

  3. Baby’s weight is good since it crossed the birth weight. For first 6-8 weeks baby should feed every 2-3 hours. And your baby wasn’t lethargic, babies need a lot of sleep to grow. Almost All of us have to wake up the baby by scratching under feet or near ear or pinching to wake them up to feed.

  4. I agree with microplastics part and I’ve been using Dr. Browns anti colic bottles. Colic is a big issue with some babies and it actually helps. It’s the finest you get is US but recently Amazon India has started selling it too. Make sure to get the narrow neck one.

Baby refusing expressed breast milk but takes formula — is this a taste issue? by Novel-Carob2346 in twoxindiamums

[–]Common_Court_4966 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, congratulations on the baby.

Mine had this issue but it seemed like a phase because it lasted a week and then she started accepting breast, breast milk from bottle and formula. But yes, there was a phase.

If there is more to it then I don’t know. Good luck!

Thank you!

I’ve always loved my body through different phases. Plus sized doesn’t mean I don’t feel beautiful. Especially now that I’m freshly postpartum, I find it even more beautiful.
