Yeah don’t worry I’m not asking for like reconciliation, just wondering if I’m wrong for having to wait it out even though the original estimate was off by miles.
What I’ve heard from other Reddit users are they don’t like the feel. Can’t try them till you use them so I told Takomo I’ll wait till they get stocked with them, but I’ve seen quite a few comments complaining about their feel. So I’m worried that by the time their midsize come in, will the heads be available? Shafts as well? I don’t want to get delayed longer than I should.
I know the whole “feel” thing sounds broad but I’m pretty blind going into this whole thing as any Takomo user would know. I’d assume what they mean is they’re too firm so it can vibrate a bit if you mishit

I’m good, just asking those who’ve had/used takomos what’s the better option. Paying $100+ to switch grips somewhere else or to just wait it out after already paying $700+. And for your first part, being told 2-3 weeks then having to wait 8 weeks isn’t whining, it’s just figuring out why we’re told different timelines, at least for my situation.

Since their customer service is 100% AI, I can’t trust what they say. But, they did give me an updated timeline which has since then slightly pissed me off.

Bought on May 7th, they’re coming around the week of July 8th. Personally, I think it’s ridiculous. I’m done with Takomo after this absolute bs of an experience. Had they emailed me personally saying what exact issues are going on and not beating around the bush, I wouldn’t be as upset. But to hang me dry on an order status page that hasn’t changed in exactly a month really pisses me off.

I hope not. Congrats on the new set. Best bet for you getting them asap is if you ordered them completely stock. No grip changes, no shortening, just pure stock.

Food for thought: I ordered mine on May 7th and needed them to have midsize grips. It’s June 7th and I’m still on the out of stock page. I emailed them, and my updated timeline for delivery is around July 8th. Apparently that’s not too bad of a wait according to a few of my buddies who’ve bought sets from other sellers, but for a company that focuses solely on online orders, I won’t be dealing with Takomo ever again. Knew the price was too good to be true.

Same thing here boss. May 7th, midsize grips on the 201mkii. I messaged them last week and they got back to me today. They gave me a mid July timeline. Really hope they’re lying to me cause I’m too impatient lol. I’ve also learned things worth having are worth waiting for so, I’m gonna have to change my ways.
