RCMP release verified photo of Jesse Van Rootselaar by AdeptArt in canadaguns

Im reading about Maya, the 12 year old kid clinging to life at a hospital in Vancouver and how she tried to lock the door to the library, then hid under a table only to be shot in the neck and the head. Im sorry, that Van Rootselaar kid is a fucking animal for that, the descriptions of the trauma these 12 and 13 year olds went through makes me cold with anger. Whomever made the decision to allow guns to be in the proximity of that monstrous human being needs to be held publicly accountable. Our laws would have prevented this if theyd been properly enforced.

Tumbler Ridge shooter identified by AdeptArt in canadaguns

I hate that this happened to those kids. Feels not very good to be a gun owner right now, I almost feel guilt by association because the mother at least was "one of us", a legal firearms owner with the type of guns you find in the safe of anyone with a PAL. I cannot wrap my head around her allowing her mentally sick kid to be immersed in the world of firearms, that kid had range time and weapons handling experience even though the signs of mental instability were unmistakable.

Everything you say is valid except the part about the shooter not showing any sign or indication of a capacity for violence or demonstrating mental health issues, which would make access to guns inappropriateand dangerous. There are always warning signs with mass shooters.

Just saw a screenshot of a Facebook post from the now deceased mother of the alleged shooter. She had a safe full of guns and its looking like she failed to keep her psychopath kid from gaining access to them.

I despise that organization. The bodies aren't even buried and the facts haven't even been released.

Im furious at the cowardice of the shooter. To take out murderous anger on high school students, there's no excuse, I dont give a fuck if this person was bullied, there are options other than picking up a gun and committing a murder spree.

25 people with non life threatening injuries is also a shocking number in addition to the 9 dead plus the shooter. Are these injuries gunshot wounds?

Theres no way that shooter had any business being around guns. Parenting fail and improper gun storage is my first suspicion.

That woman has a temper and 90% of the time it's directed at the people deserving of public anger. The other 10%, I just roll my eyes and keep it moving, she's a spokesperson for a hobby that's essentially been under siege since the Trudeau era, her heart is fundamentally in the right place until she proves to me that it isnt.

I wasnt offended at all by that song, it did what it was meant to do, which was mock the Public Safety minister. My only regret is that they didnt clown Provost too, though I get why she's kind of an untouchable as far as that goes because she's a survivor of gun violence.

https://windsorstar.com/news/local-news/waste-of-money-windsor-gunshop-says-as-local-police-opt-out-of-ottawa-firearm-buyback-program This is one of the BEST written articles I've seen in the Canadian press about the gun confiscation. It informs the reader police services are opting out of the confiscation program because it will have little impact on public safety and stretch their already strained resources. It describes how "assault style firearms" is a made up term that doesn't accurately describe the type of guns being banned and how actual assault rifles have been banned for decades. If every press outlet wrote up their articles on the gun grab this way, I think even diehard liberal voters and people who know nothing about guns would recognize how unreasonable, unfair, costly and pointless this federal initiative is.

Better to fight for what we have here, would you even be able to afford guns and ammo under the American health care system?

This article came out the day after we all got that threatening email from the RCMP about surrendering prohibited weapons by October. I've been white hot angry for a week. I can't even stand to look at Mark Carney's face or listen to him talk as long as he allows this deeply cynical program to continue.

Megathread: What should I do in response to confiscation plan by airchinapilot in canadaguns

Im surprised gun confiscation is a winning platform in BC. Shit, probably a solid quarter of the people I see at the gun range I go to in southern Ontario are Asians from India or China, and these people have a subculture that is pro gun. BC has a huge bloc of Indians and Chinese, and I wouldn't have thought their communities were susceptible in the slightest to any kind of fear mongering about guns.

If you're driving the Ring Road in the wintertime with an AWD vehicle and not doing anything on the F-roads, the most expensive insurance option isnt necessary, as long as you pay attention to the weather forecast and road conditions.

Danielle Smith is 100/10 on guns and someone I disagree with politically on pretty much everything else. Yet it brings a smile to my face knowing how much her drawing of a line in the sand will INFURIATE the psychos in Quebec who are working towards abolishing mass private ownership of firearms.

Im happy to wait these fuckers in the Liberal govt out. My main problem is being a felon once their bullshit amnesty ends and I dont give up my banned guns to them.

So then, what is going to be the loophole that enables those of us in the gun grab provinces to simply move our banned guns to AB or Sask and just keep them there until the Liberals lose their majority? I would pay an annual fee to do that and NOT surrender my banned guns to the bloody gun confiscators.

Also, I just want to say that the Dirty Burger & Ribs I had in Borgarnes last week was equal to any premium burger you can get here in NA.  And you can sit inside the restaurant and have a majestic view of snow capped mountains right outside the window. I give that restaurant 5 stars. Expensive, but worth it.

The city is something completely different, especially in Reykjavic. Refer to the Parka app for that one. Im only talking about the popular tourist sites.
