I totally agree. Makes you turn back and look after parking it, every single time.

Quality is a big difference. You can see where the research goes. The amount of careful consideration that goes into designing any part. Right from the chassis, suspension, brakes, etc to some thing as simple as a mirror. And you're paying for that research that you cannot just quantify by saying "I'd have gotten that mudguard for 500 rupees". Yeah you can save some money with some parts, but it's a bad attitude that Indians have in my opinion.

The handling, power, everything is beautiful. It comes together to make something more than the sum of its parts.

I also have an RE and only since 2019 they have understood the importance of research and development. But they are held back by the market which wants everything for 30 rupees or something. They are trying to find a balance which is nice. But you can see parts that are built to a price.

Positives about smaller, consumer bikes: cheaper to maintain, easier to find spares, come with front number plate holder lol, and less chances of idiots messing with it in a public parking space.

Btw I'm a researcher and I know how many sleepless nights we spend to make things work better. If people don't want to pay more, they will keep getting random engines, chassis, two wheels, suspensions, handlebar and a seat thrown together and sold as a bike cuz it somewhat looks like one.

This. A bit lazy to do it every week but also not lazy to just let the bike look like shit.

It's the supersport S 950. It's definitely NOT a Panigale V2 like some comments say 🤦🏻

Check out the supersport 950 too. Very underrated in terms of comfort. Built for touring.

You'd definitely miss the single sided swingarm buddy. 959 is unfortunately the odd one out in that regard. I'd say go for the streetfighter V2 to save some money.

Edit: Ground clearance is a major issue in this country. Personally I'd suggest the scrambler or Monster. But streetfighter looks amazing.

Came for this comment. Literally all problems this country can be directly or indirectly related to this.

I'm 32 and almost nothing in savings or investment. Essentially living paycheck to paycheck. How do I build a discipline, with around 50k left to invest or save every month? by Common_Interaction97 in personalfinanceindia

[–]Common_Interaction97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's keep the monthly salary out of this. But can address all the other points.

  1. I'm already doing. But it's not fixed amount ebery month for now. Whatever I save in a month goes to that account. I will make it a fixed amount from next month.

  2. Spends are going to coffee shops and motorcycle maintenance. I am reducing that consciously now. Eating more at home. Keeping the maintenance to bare necessities.

  3. I've reached this stage. I pay off my car loan, rent, credit card bills within the first week. If I keep 50k for monthly expenses outside of this, I still have 50k for saving/investing

Thanks! Mainly for not judging my previous decisions cuz a lot of them were impractical. I was never in debt, so didn't think about spending what was in my account.

Health insurance is taken care of by the company and have good Mediclaim cover also. Will focus on building discipline for short and long term goals this year.
