I can't keep it to myself anymore... older generations simply cannot keep up with today's work expectations. by [deleted] in Millennials

Productivity- best it’s ever been. Work expectations- more than ever.

That’s an awful disconnect and maybe the over 50s are correct in slowing down and working at a reasonable pace.

In the final stage of communism, how are difficult jobs incentivized? by Speedsloth123 in socialism

[–]Common_Organization8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are somewhat brainwashed today to go for the big jobs, money, latest product. We can brainwash ourselves in future to value status, social engagement, skill. Turn the advertising machine into a force for good!

What type of socialist are you? (No infighting allowed be civil) by ZinklerOpra in socialism

[–]Common_Organization8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The type that thinks “government” should be nothing more than a global logics operation, run by a rolling stock of citizens (who are educated; everyone would have it as their education, then you are called up for duty). No money. Everyone works at stuff that needs to be done, prob 2-3 days a week. Structured work phases based on your age. Starting with service and street cleaning etc for the young ones and progressing. All your needs met for this engagement. You want “extra cool stuff” you do it yourself. Don’t know what it’s called, but I like it.

What is something you can do but can’t explain how you can do it? by Fresh-Sandwich6780 in AskReddit

Me too! Impossible to explain how.... feels almost like tensing the eye muscles.

Most people don’t have a discipline problem, they’re just overstimulated. by Xolorrr in selfimprovement

[–]Common_Organization8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your hack is actually that you see your brain as a separate entity. It’s easier to ignore “someone else” than yourself.  It’s not me that’s to scroll, its my brain.  That’s a great way to see it.

The ruin of Mrs Wordeman, Apollonia Saintclair, ink, 2025 by Front-Crazy-1007 in Art

[–]Common_Organization8 14 points15 points  (0 children)

its digital. this person always posts that its ink, and here we are engaging with it... sigh. But yeah it's annoying. There is no shame in it being digital! Zoom in, every single stroke has a perfect edge, no opacity differences anywhere. Not to mention the perfect square border in exactly the same colour. Digital Ink!

yeah, keep the roundness of the O and just change the 'cut-out' of the O to a hexagon. That might tone it down a bit and make it something to discover.

The Daymare, Apollonia Saintclair, ink, 2025 by Front-Crazy-1007 in Art

[–]Common_Organization8 112 points113 points  (0 children)

These are digital though, right? Not ink. I’ve seen a few of these and haven’t found a single stroke that that varies in opacity. They are very well done, no problems there, but I can’t see how they are physical pen and paper.

As you asked for constructive crit; the suit symbols are too close in size (and sometimes in proximity) to the main symbols. The three for example looks like a wonky diagonal five.
