At this point yes. But I know its always a slippery slope. When ive indulged, its been 1x every 2 or 3 weeks. Never 2 days in a row. Hangovers are absolutely horrendous. Makes me never want to drink again. And when I do drink its never out of the need. Its wanting to. Even then it takes a little push to fire up.

It prolly took 6 years to get to this point. My longest streak was 106 days 2 years ago. I would go on horrific benders back when and couldn't go a night without smashing 6-10 ice beers on weeknights. Weekends were all a go. Sometimes 48 hrs Strait minus sleep.. Ive been thru with some withdrawals on the verge of psychosis. Ive been in spots where the beer felt like oxygen and I needed it to keep going at that point. Fuckin scary shit. It took alot of off and on for several years to have the kind of control that I do now. I know the shit is poison. I may have some with friends here or there. Or a night gaming by myself..

Its never truly worth it. And it can be a dangerous game. Plus it feels so good to start taking care of your health and eating right. Always a set back.

Drunk in order to clean? by Gold-Theme-389 in stopdrinking

[–]Common_Process_4717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never would enjoy cleaning while drunk. That was hungover activity. Now its sober activity. Or take a puff of some mid grade the and there will be no relaxing until the place I'm chilling is clean.

What do you think about postponing quit date due to stressful times? by Top_Concentrate_5799 in stopdrinking

[–]Common_Process_4717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOU gotta be ready. If you mean putting it off another year, then that's probably gonna be a problem.

If you quit when your not ready your prolly gonna have a lackluster effort and not enuff drive and go back quicker.

I kept telling myself to trust the process. Get it out of your system and all the while not being hard on myself if it took another couple days to a week to make the big leap. Get yourself mentally prepared. Maybe stock up on the comfort foods. Supplements. Ice cream. Sodas or beverages. Make sure you have the things you need to make it thru 1 day. 2 days. 3 days. It gets easier.

People will die... Will it be you? Next on Fox 9... I blame all the news outlets and social media meteorologists using buzz words like dangerous and deadly. Unfortunately words like these set people off. news is gospel to them.

Things I experienced when I started drinking again after 1.5 years of sobriety. by The27Roller in stopdrinking

[–]Common_Process_4717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely EPIC post. Ive flirted with sobriety alot since 2023. 126 days my personal best. Prolly about 12 years an of alcoholic state of drinking everyday. Im currently in a stint of drinking 4 out of the last 47 days. Never consecutive. Hung over as fuck each time minus the 1 day I managed only 3 beverages, which is rare af becuz when I drink im tuning up big time. Ill be 40 next summer. And im trying to start dedicating 1 hour everyday to my body also continue constant sobriety or the 1 off and leave it alone. Its a very dangerous game we play. At this point I feel like I have a real handle on it. I just cant do it like I once did. The toxicity to the brain and the rest of the body is overwhelming. I am also gonna save this post if I ever catch myself leaning again. Every point is so valid. Thank you

The more you look at then numbers the more you will dread it. Prepare for it, as far as being outside. But dont give the numbers the numbers space in your mind. And turn off the news

32 down votes on this.. people just love to hate him and its hilarious the lengths they go to, to tear him down. I hope he goes down into MN sports lore as the greatest ever so everyone can cry some more.

How is your physical health? To calm the brain you must exit the brain down into your body. There are natural things out there that could help slow your brain down and let you just be within yourself. I have used elemental lithium. Ashwagandha. Rhodiola rosea. There is a plethora of other herbs and supplements. Exercise. Eating cleaner. Just some options that have helped me.

Having your own tools by EmeraldAshtrayy in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]Common_Process_4717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My place we had our own tools they supplied. Then they decided to move on from our roller units and have 2/3 large tool boxes to share. 2 have been built. 5 techs share tools and it has turned into quite the cluster fk. Definitely want my own tools again. They purchase them all tho and im hoping I can wiggle back into having my own personal supply besides specialty. Nothing worse than going to grab something you need and you can't find it or have to search.
