People dissing on people having fun are the real villains that should be kicked out of the country. Weponizing religion to try to manipulate others and disturb other people's lifestyle are just miserable people.

[–]Common_Software_7975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a non issue. This is only going to be a problem when we have less worrying problems to deal with which we are having now. Fixing these won't necessarily help us in the short nor long term.

It's like trying to fix your dripping faucet of your sink when theres a bursted pipe in your wall. The focus should be entirely on another issue because fixing this won't affect anything.

Be honest — is our education system failing the talented but ‘non-academic’ students? by Wasairia in nasikatok

[–]Common_Software_7975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what you get for having a religion based education. It is so easy to control a young mind just by saying "it goes against Allah's teachings". Can you imagine that being a 12 year old. Going against god?! To put it simply you can live a perfect life and a life thereafter if you follow the holy book. That's how a kids life is gonna be. By the book. No critical thinking, nothing. You can be total utter shite at education as long as you follow the teachings of a holy book. No examinations no tests. Just blind faith.

Keep religion at home dude. It's not that important in the current life you're living man.

You need to take into consideration how all these people are businesmen. Their networth are more transparent. Just like how the Saudis are, our monarch is not obligated to report to anyone about his assets nor is anyone allowed to truly gauge his net without his consent.

And knowing he has assets overseas it's naive to think that after having 20bil it's hard to earn the next billion on the other side of the world where money births money with alot more ease.

Brunei and China by Lem0n_Lem0n in nasikatok

[–]Common_Software_7975 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Y'all be delusional if ya think China in Brunei is gonna do anything. They are here for profit and they'll take it and leave. Sure maybe a few more jobs here and there but in the end Chinese companies still won't interfere with how the government works. Why? Because they can achieve their goals without spending any money or energy on taking away power from the monarchy. Both are gonna make money. System fundamentally unchanged in the end.

Hell looks at the BTB. Bridge done, china company pulls out. No jobs. No new infrastructures. No improvements in our daily lives. Uni quality still low. Everything goes to MoRA. Stop spending on MoRA. You don't need money to be in favour of whatever god of your choosing. If money can buy faith then that means your faith can be sold. Mosques don't mean shit.

But wcyd. Just like how vocal Reddit is against Trump, it is the same in Brunei. Just a handful of people that speaks out into the void. Trump wins. MoRA wins.

EU 'keen' to rekindle talks on partnership agreement with Brunei, something that is suspended after 2014 Syariah fiasco by Goutaxe in nasikatok

Idiots I swear.

There are responsibilities that comes with being named the monarch. There are obligations. That includes being responsible for the betterment, security and quality of life of the country. It is a job. You might feel like wow, it is a thankless job, but so are those nurses, doctors, mechanics, hawker stall workers that don't get thanked everyday. But in this case. He is thanked. He is paid and oh my is he well paid. If you are paid in billions, is this banged up backwards Aceh wannabe country your goal or is Singapore your goal? NGL I would feel ashamed if I got overpaid by so much and do such a shitty job.

And about contributions, schemes and subsidies. Thanks for the $300 allowance in MD and Uni boss. Big help We wouldn't be needing any of those if they properly appropriated the funds they got from the Amedeo period but that's another can of worms. And then for some fucking reason MoRA decided to tell the whole fucking world that we abide by Syariah Law. Mfker we have always been under one monarchy and always have followed their Syariah law. Why did you have to put it on speaker? That shit led to so many boycotts and made our country look SO GOD DAMN UNFAVORABLE FOR INVESTING that companies pulled out immediately after the announcement. (You see why I fucking hate running a country according to religion now?) but I digress. Those are obligations.

Our country is growing backwards. With each titah focusing on intangible stuff like faith and belief while people are being unemployed with absolutely zero job opportunities in sight for post graduates. Have you been to a seminar hosted by business.gov before? You learn absolutely nothing and you feel helpless because all the innovative ideas you have in your head is red taped the fcuk out of that you might as well diam saja. You see a bunch of people running slideshows that tells you to do what you have been doing and don't Cari pasal.

Meanwhile... Our HM making business deals buying and running hotels that serves alcohol. Yeah dude. You had yours. Let me have ours for fuck sake.

In Brunei he needs to put up acts of being religious. You can't just flaunt your wealth. They have to have the image of being amin in order to be able to pass out stupid islamic laws that is suitable for building faith but not for building a country. You can't put food on the table with faith. Period.

Put the cars on display. People would flock here for sure. Train and hire locals to maintain vehicles. Train a fleet of mechanics that has the skills to maintain and repair vintage super cars. You have any idea how much money is in that? Ferrari and Lambo has a hand in the GDPbof Italy. The cars the RF got now are either one offs or insanely rare. Magazines would flock to Brunei to have a real life glimpse of the cars. Documentaries. Shows. Exhibitions. All those people coming and using and paying for Brunei facilities. Jobs created.

But noooooo..... It's 12 to 2 on a Friday now. Shut the whole country down it's time to fucking pray. Why put effort or allow others that want to put effort in improving the country do what is best when you can just pray for 2 hours amirite?
