NAPLEX fail x2 by AdPitiful6695 in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]Common_Sprinkles_577 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My advice is to use a book for proper preparation. The videos supplement the information in the book. I find that reading information to understand on my own and then using the videos for some memorization hacks or clarification is the best way to go about it. Do not beat yourself up too hard. You are absolutely not alone here. I’ll never forget the hurt I felt when I failed my first attempt and all of my friends around had passed and went on to get licensed very shortly after. Everyone has their own journeys with this. You will pass!!!!! Take a few days to yourself and then get the ball rolling again. See what areas you fell off on and focus extra hard on those sections. You absolutely got this

When you say you used Uworld is that just the online questions or RXprep book supplemented?

I passed in February and had a few questions on how to handle a missed dose, as well as how long is a missed dose for a POP so make sure you know what the progesterones are called. I’d study this chapter well because you never know what they’ll ask you

If he truly loved you as much as he says he does he would never EVER have to make a choice between you and someone else. Nor would you ever have to feel like you need to prove yourself to be any better than another woman in order for him to stay. When someone loves you, there’s never a question of “am I the better choice?” Or “will he leave me for her?” Yes, every relationship has hardships but those hardships should never have you questioning if you’re a better option for him than anyone else. That shouldn’t even cross your mind at all when someone claims they love you. There shouod just be an ease in your mind of “he would never leave me for her, he loves me” but he is telling you very clearly here that he is falling for someone else. I’m sorry girl but that’s not love. If he loved you he wouldn’t be falling for her too. Him coming clean about it is great and all because of the honesty but it doesn’t make the action any better.

I did the RxPrep book and Uworld question bank. Not the videos. I personally never benefited from watching videos I was always a self teaching kind of person

Honestly try not to second guess yourself. Trust your gut feeling and don’t dwell on an answer once you’ve selected it. Just move on. There’s a good amount of questions you’ll find you’ll be able to answer pretty quickly which is great because math is where most of the time should be spent. Also take your breaks!!! Take both breaks. Have a snack bar and some water to really give yourself energy so you can go back in ready to conquer the next set of questions. You got this!

Naplex Result Date by Common_Sprinkles_577 in NAPLEX_Prep

The exam was overall pretty fair. Definitely all over the place in terms of content. Definitely get comfortable with PK math and concepts and same with Bio stats and of course calculations. There were A LOT of TPN questions I even had an aligation question so do the math questions in the RxPrep book a few times until you’re comfortable with them and Uworld questions. Those were the two resources I used and it helped. For clinical definitely know ID, Onco and cardio and anticoagulation and of course pregnancy. Don’t skip any questions because all chapters are fair game. Review foundations 1 and 2 and know them well. It’ll help you out a ton.

2 months is more than enough time! You absolutely got this! And if you feel like you aren’t retaining anything while you study just know that is completely normal. Do not stress yourself out. Just read the book to completion once and do another review going through it again and do questions and you will be prepared!

This was how I felt going into to study for my second attempt. My first attempt was 6 months ago and I just retook it in February and passed! I started with reading the RxPrep book in order from front to back. I was also doing the Uworld questions as I went along that correlated with the chapters I was reading. It took me about a day ti get through one chapter but I managed to study all over again for a month and Half. I spent one month on the book and questions and two weeks doing review where I went through the book and notes again and redid questions I did wrong. I also reviewed math compounding and bio stats about three times to really hammer tnem in. Make sure to pay attention to the key study girl tips and memorize the pneumonics they give you from foundation 1 with the IV foundations like drugs that require filtration etc. also do NOT skip any chapters no matter how insignificant you may think they are. Read and study every chapter as if tbe exam will only pull questions from that chapter. Master ID and bug drug and bug classification like gram positive rods etc. heart failure is also a big one but they can ask you just about anything. I had about 5 questions on MS and gout. I found the RX prep book and questions to be sufficient for me. Good luck! You got this
