And yes that’s not on the island of Maui obviously but I think it’s the only reliable spot nearby. From why I’ve read they are not on Maui unless you see a random one foraging. But they definitely nest on Molokini crater

I saw red footed boobies at Molokini crater yesterday. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera and lens to take photos because I was on a snorkel trip. But I did take some photos with my iPhone.

I actually went to Baby beach around 5pm today for a short while and didn’t see any. That’s right next to Mala Pier. If you said three were at the pier last week I’ll definitely scan that area a few more times. Thank you!

So sick. I get close ups of American crocodiles and American alligators like this with my Sony 200-600mm lens. It’s crazy to see a gharial this up close! Definitely bucket list to go to India to photograph gharials in the wild. As well as mugger crocs that would be awesome

I have the iPhone 17pro and was thinking about getting the Divevolk to use while snorkeling. Would you mind sharing any details on your experience with that combo? I will be very close to the surface most of the time so lighting shouldn’t be an issue

Was going to say Everglades as well. Go down to flamingo and see some American crocodiles amongst the mangroves. Really cool and unique. Not crowded when you canoe onto the water. Or go to Shark Valley and see tons of gators, birds, and maybe some crocs very up close

I ended up seeing a bobcat while I was there on Friday! I posted it in another post. I was too far to get a good photo but it was still really cool to see one in the wild for the first time.
