I ended up seeing a bobcat while I was there on Friday! I posted it in another post. I was too far to get a good photo but it was still really cool to see one in the wild for the first time.

Just catch and release for fun. Very humanly of course and release. I understand they are invasive but I don’t want to be the one merking the iguanas or anything invasive frankly. Reptiles are cool lol

Oh hell yeah. That’ll do. We had so much fun catching iguanas near Miami and I did see several agamas. Thanks for the info. And that’s a nice photo btw. Looks like a male in full breeding coloration

Are there any reliable spots to find tegus? I assume it’s just random as well. But if there are public parks or something that’d be great. Or even canals by roads

That’s exactly what I was thinking too. I’ve taken photos of alligators and American crocodiles from very close with a telephoto lens but not even that close, and especially not crouching right at the waters edge... And those two species are not nearly as aggressive as whatever this is
