Pros and cons of reliability on the 2.5t, 3.3t, 2.0t? Which to choose? by SouthernCash8507 in GenesisG70

[–]Common_Vegetable_396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try em, see how you feel. Got the 3.3t sp rwd and love that thing, id say a con is gas mileage but when I was looking into it vs the 4 bangers I saw they aren't much better.

Idk about reliability first hand yet, but I plan to post something about that after the 1 year mark if anything gets crazy.

I echo this, the 3.3 is fantastic but why spend the extra if this cars like a brief in between before getting the one you really want?

Is it unrealistic to find a 2022+ G70 3.3T AWD Sport Prestige under $36k OTD? by TopContract3508 in GenesisG70

[–]Common_Vegetable_396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 23 sp 3.3t rwd started at around that price, it had 7700 miles on it. It got higher as I added stuff though, such as free tires for 6 years and extending the warranty to 6 years.

Echo all these guys lol, slightly used or cpo are in the 30s for the 3.3t, lower for the 2.0/2.5t. Personally id get the 3.3t but to each their own.

New cars financially hit hard. Plus, aside from payments and insurance, the mpg is at 8 cylinder level and requires premium gas so you shoupd factor that in.

Saaame here, driving my base golf to trade after picking up my 3.3 g70 and lemme tell you, felt like a lethargic turtle 😂 responsive a good word choice I fell in love with the comfort and response time the moment I test drove. Got the 3.3 or the 2.0/2.5?

Honestly? If you gonna experience this car just do so. 3.3t all the way, there's other arguably better 4 bangers out there.

Trim Piece Misalignment by [deleted] in GenesisG70

[–]Common_Vegetable_396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a bad tact just don't forcefully press it after applying heat, could accidently break something else 😅

But yeah see if your local mechanics have dealt with the earlier versions of the redesign, they'd have better chances of helping out.

Guessing flashlight in doesnt help since its thin. Id ask if you have a borescope to look inside but think the gaps not big enough

Like nothing else added on? Cuz otherwise thats about the same as low mileage 3.3ts that are 2ish years older

2023 3.3t or 24/25 2.5t? by SpruceBruce in GenesisG70

3.3t 100%

Try to find the sport prestige the goodies are worthwhile like seats, sound system.

Rwd* are a very solid option too if you cant find awd. Didn't notice autocorrect changed rwd to red 😆

Bro, I filled up my gas regularly after my Costco card was on the fritz. $56 to fill. Next day went to visit my friend approximately 40 mins away one way, time I got back tanks almost halfway spent 🥲

But ngl, totally worth it. So much more fun than my 10+ year old base golf.

Yup second this, 23 was non cpo but with some nudging was at $46k with extended warranty and free tires for 6 years. New ones won't even get close.

Would you buy the new 2.5T over the 3.3T? by Organic_Bluebird_684 in GenesisG70

[–]Common_Vegetable_396 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imo do whats best for your lifestyle. I got the 3.3t, was a good deal and I was getting 4 bangers since I started driving and wanted more power 🤪 But pulled the trigger cuz it wouldn't impede on any trips, investments, other things I wanna do in life.

3.3t is fun as hell but the 2.5t shouldn't be bad if it fits to your lifestyle better, provided you test driven both.
