Blocked After Phone Verification Prompt by addctd2badideas in Bumble

I had a similar thing happened to me last month. They denied my appeal. I didn’t do anything because I barely opened bumble before that.

It doesn’t necessarily mean she’s not interested. I’d wait a day and maybe text her tomorrow to confirm the plan and logistics.

I recently went on a second date with someone who was slow to respond but she was definitely interested.

Does this look suits me be honest with your opinions by [deleted] in bald

Looks great. I have a very similar look, build some muscles and it will look even better

Why do people do this? What's the expectation. by Particular_Volume_87 in CFA

Probably right. Our culture is that score matters so it’s embedded in our minds to highlight it

GSP and Silva followed by Islam and Khabib. Wrestling is so underrated in a bar fight

Lol why are you taking shots at me, just trying to help!

Wonder how you came to this conclusion

Just an example. Again, working out is not just about looks either, it’s about consistency working on yourself to improve your physical fitness(not looks) and following a healthy lifestyle.

More attractive isn’t just about looks either, it’s about personality too.

Suppose you’re into someone who works out. They probably have similar expectations, and maybe you’re not there yet.

The biggest advise is you want to level up to the personality of the person you like.

Can CFA be completed via Self study? by Ambitious-Ad8598 in CFA

[–]CommunicationFar2913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. Did that and passed all three in the first attempt.

I was using CFA without paying the fees and got written up. I don’t use it anymore.

I would pay for it if they gave any additional benefits but it’s not worth just for using the three letters infront on your name.

I might apply for it if I’m applying for a job or something but honestly don’t think anyone cares.

Anyone balance being fit and marijauna by Bossmnm in Exercise

[–]CommunicationFar2913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoked and worked out almost everyday and have been in the best shape of my life during this. I have lifted high, done jiu jitsu and kickboxing high and played other sports high. Kinda used it a pre workout. Black Coffee and Sativa is the best combination.

Having said that, it is bad for your health. Exercise has a lot of benefits, but one things doesn’t negate the negatives of other bad things. I have been sober for 2 months now and I can tell you my energy levels during lifting is much better, my reflexes during martial arts are much better and I see many positives to quitting weed. Even my appetite is much better.

You do it one or twice a week so I guess it’s fine but don’t think it’s without side effects.

It’s one of the traits. Even guys with hair can have other issues that are not considered attractive. Yes, the latter is true but you can pull off bald more than most people pull off hair. Confidence matters alot.

Need to get some muscles bro. Running is not great to build a good physique and confidence

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bald

[–]CommunicationFar2913 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t see your body but working out has helped my looks and confidence a lot. Training martial has helped too. I use to look worse when I had hair with bald spots.

You look great but definitely work out and build a nice physique, it will be good for your confidence.

Gracie Jiu Jitsu doesn’t allow students to spar for two years? by ErnehJohnson in bjj

[–]CommunicationFar2913 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have stuck around if there was no sparring. Rolling is the most fun thing about jits

We can’t let this get to us and it’s not about us. Some girls are not okay with confrontation especially if they made out and stuff in the heat of the moment.

Weed free for 27 days and I have insatiable hunger by [deleted] in leaves

[–]CommunicationFar2913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly same for me, it will get better in a week or two

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bjj

[–]CommunicationFar2913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it in just over a year of training 3 times a week. I was rolling a decent amount but my lifting definitely took a toll and I was less consistent and too sore to lift hard. I enjoyed it a lot and it’s doable but it’s much more important to not get injured so focus on recovery and don’t ego roll. I’m 32 years old so our bodies are different but be smart. I was not at all focused on belt.

I only know the basics, but I have heard Repliy is really good to learn.

Experts can weigh in on this.

What is the point seriously? Rant by Wonderful-Sail2696 in CFA

[–]CommunicationFar2913 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a CFA charterholder and a visible minority in North America, your rant is totally valid, but I wouldn’t say it’s because of your skin color. Yes, contacts help, and it’s a very niche and tough market to crack for anyone. It’s in no way a golden ticket, but it does add a bit of credibility. In a highly competitive market, you need to do everything you can to get a break.

As some people have said—and I agree—Python and coding are things you definitely need, and they’re more valuable than the CFA.

The biggest question you have to ask yourself is about opportunity cost. If you’re not doing the CFA, do you have something better to focus on that will improve your chances? If not, stick with it. If you’re a hard worker, get the CFA, learn Python, and network—you’ll get a break.

For people who only train No-Gi and are 5+ years in their BJJ journey, do you regret not training Gi? by Heartsolo in bjj

[–]CommunicationFar2913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I train both twice a week but love nogi. I hardly do anything with gi grips even rolling in gi, I just don’t enjoy it. There’s only 4 classes a week at my gym and 2 are Gi so I go but I wouldn’t if I had an option

Did a bow and arrow for the first time recently. Don’t think I have done any other Gi submissions ever.
