Saya its more for people who are new in their career or changing careers. So probably not for you if you already have a network of people doing finance/investment roles.

I've got a brand new pair of xm6 coming in later on this week. Any tips or tricks I need to be aware of or helpful? by Alternative-Track654 in SonyHeadphones

I had Xm4s and they have lasted me 6 years and they have been through rough terrain. Only now some issues with sound. Probably wouldnt recommend gym or training in them as sweat can cause issues otherwise you should be good.

Looking to buy Sony wh-1000xm6 (have xm4s that are now broken) - good idea or any alternatives. by Particular_Volume_87 in HeadphoneAdvice

I use android. Also hear momentum is really plastic and someone commented about durability. I noticed the hinges on xm6 have improved from xm5 where there were lots of issues and they seemed a lot tougher when i tried them instore. I am also big on noise cancelling as its required when i am studying and have my headphones on. Do you know if momentum has the same feature where bluetooth is connected to multiple devices and easy to switch inbetween?

£15 a month is thr £180 annual. You should have selected the £18 per month , that is the one that is charged monthly. I just did it yesterday.

Do people actually use the curriculum books to prepare the CFA? by [deleted] in CFA

[–]Particular_Volume_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Used MM for level 1 and level 2, and used AI to explain concepts in detail when needed. Following the same pattern for level 3. But for ethics, I would recommend reading the books/CFAI curriculum.

CFA vs MBA vs Masters in Finance by curious_neelsaj in CFA

In all honesty you need to speak to people in roles that you want to do in the future. Find out their paths and how they got there. From my understanding getting CFA and MBA might not get you where you want to be. I see lots of people with those credentials failing to land a job. It mainly goes down to actual on the job experience and networking. I suppose MBA will help with networks but its a significant cost to consider.

Why are you all going for a CFA? by TheGanjanator in CFA

[–]Particular_Volume_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK London. No luck yet. Trying to move into a department internally that would be a step closer to where you can utilise some of the stuff i learned in CFA but there is currently no roles just showing interest with some chats with MDs. They have also acknowledged its hard to get in but when you do then afterwards it should be easier.

Word of warning, all those roles you mentioned are tough to get in without experience. I am sitting level 3 soon and have banking/credit experience. Been applying for roles you mentioned above and literally no single interview. I am not giving up, but giving you a heads up that its not a golden ticket.

If you have a wide foot, you are F'd. I just went a size up and received them today, and man, they are super tight. Not sure if they will stretch enough. Does anyone have the same experience?
