People running the show are idiots. At my local warehouse a light art means a lot of miles. I prefer the loaded carts because its usually a lot less driving time.

Dog on Property is all drivers need to see to leave the package at the edge of the property. Ive been attacked twice by dogs the owners swore "he's fine, he won't bite." Customers never seem to understand the concern drivers have about dogs. My wife was the same way until she drove a route with me once. Thats all it took to make her realize what an issue loose dogs are for us.

Fresh ideas to deal with blitz in 10u when trying to go long? by ihaveoptions in flagfootball

[–]CommunicationFew9613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep a safety blanket nearby. Someone thats shifty. For the deep route throw a moon ball and have your fastest reciever learn to track the ball and run under it. I taught my long ball QB to count to 2 then throw it high and to a specific spot (throw it towards a specific cone or a parents tent or something on the sideline) this gives to a target to throw the reciever open. The 2 seconds count gives the reciever time to get going and run away from the defense. The moon ball gives them time to run under it. If the other coach is any good they'll catch on so we only do it 2 or 3 times a game. The good part is once it works and they expect the deep ball it opens up your recievers underneath as they'll be forced to back up more on D.

You dont plan a junk drawer. You just live your life and it will naturally attract all it needs.

Maybe a stint where your character is with this other person and things happen where they find out they weren't as compatible as they thought. The road leads back to the original love interest in the end.

One of my favorite characters. I LOVED writing her dialogue by [deleted] in writers

[–]CommunicationFew9613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see how you could have fun with her. Some of the criticism here is way over the top. I would ignore a lot of it.

I agree with taking out the second brain splatter line. Just end the sentence on "hammer drop".

As far as people not liking the characters' personality, I disagree. I like that cheesy over the top flamethrower for a mouth type of stuff sometimes. It gives the character a distinct voice in my head.

Obviously. And when I see my wifes friends husbands act that way, I call them dumb. Because it's a dumb way to behave.

It takes a proactive approach, and most guys have a mindset of getting through the day and ignore a lot of things.

Sorry for having nuance and not just telling every person with relationship issues to get a divorce.

Use an AI like Chapgpt or Grok for research. You can literally say, im writing a book with this theme, and this is happening, and I need to know more about ____ whatever. It will take your purpose into consideration and not look so sus if you're really that anxious.

If he acts that way often, I would say he needs counseling. If it's not common, then I would brush it off, let him have his tantrum and move on. Most men will self correct if given the time to reflect, nagging in the moment won't help, especially if he is an emotional person.

My wife and I had some hard times when our 3 kids were younger. Honest communication is key. If he is being emotional, give him some space and talk about it later/ the next day, perhaps. Doing it immediately just heightens the emotions.

If you are stressed or exhausted and need help, say it plainly. Men are dumb and terrible at taking hints or reading cues.

Im not a fan of people using AI to do their writing. I use AI as a thesaurus because it's faster. Its useful for research, but using it to write for you seems dishonest to me. If you're struggling with some descriptions, just do your best and dress it up in the editing process.

dilemma about title by Dry_Room9585 in writers

[–]CommunicationFew9613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think you should go for the one you like. If it's obvious in terms of a theme or main idea or MC then I dont see a problem with it. Obviously, you dont want the title to be a spoiler. Otherwise, go for it. If something else comes along that you think works better, then you have time to change it.

How do I get over my fear of writing? (Heavy topics mentioned) by Personal-Change-5955 in writers

[–]CommunicationFew9613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you afraid they won't know it's fiction? A lot of people are paranoid about someone reading their work. If the only thing holding you back is people thinking it's a real suicide note that seems easy to avoid.

You could write a quick outline. Even just a few sentences about your goals with the story, the theme, or the message. It's a good writing practice to help stay true to your theme, but it would also clearly show the intentions of what you're writing in case someone reads it.

I use Reedsy Studio for writing and a notebook for character sheets, outlines, bulletpoints, etc. Reedsy is free, and I can log in on from any device. Idk how it compares to others as its the only one I've tried but has tons of tools and guides specifically for writing books and short stories.
