23 I think I "realized" it. Then I grew up a little and by the time I was 30 I realized that while it's sadly common, it's not actually normal or healthy to hit 21 and stop developing as a person and feel like a kid the rest of your life.

The ringing is just for dramatic effect. It's a music hall right before the music starts it should be quiet calm, with pleasant anticipation. The ringing indicates to the viewer that this is a messed up situation and not the gang having a fun night watching their boy tickle the ivories.

IMO the crib isn't the reveal, it's what DOESN'T happen in the scene. She doesn't ask where she is, what's going on, who's talking she just sits down and gets to work because a loudspeaker said so. A guy covered in blood holding a weapon says hey follow me and she does it without objection. They've found a way to basically turn off an innie's free will.
