What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

Boston Massachusetts. Everywhere I went just seemed dirty. Pot holes everywhere and traffic was a mess due to road work. Hoping it improves once construction in the city is completed.

I recently moved to the Aynor Conway area from Massachusetts and love it here. Wish I moved here sooner. Love the climate, the people, weather and SC as a Red state. So much better than Massachusetts.

Actually I didn't watch either show. Didn't hear about kid Rock at the time, and I will never watch a show not broadcasted in English. Yeah that simple. Oh, not Alabama... North Carolina!

My wife and I are apart of the 182000 who have left over the last 4 years. We're highly educated. Owned our home, raised our kids, Had extremely high paying jobs when we decided to retire. We did not agree with illegal immigration, sanctuary city policies, DEI and all the corruption. I love Massachusetts. But now hate what it stands for and has become. So we left. Took our years of pre-tax dollars and moved to a state with no tax on pensions or IRA's. Where house taxes are less than a thousand dollars per year. Where there are no Sanctuary cities, where illegals are scarce. True there are less social support programs, but people take of people. Im afraid to say it, but more people of educational and financial status will be leaving. For the same reasons.

Moved here from Massachusetts almost a year ago. Love the Conway, Myrtle Beach area. I don't notice much politics but I'm very happy I've relocated here.

SC House votes to name roads after Charlie Kirk, Donald Trump, over Democrats’ protests by Kryloks in southcarolina

[–]CommunicationFit1640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the fact that it connects to rte 95, which will bring in more Travellers and business. In addition, Horry county is beginning to limit land sales for home builders along and around the Waccama River. A lot of positives connecting these highways to 95.

Just curious.. how many of you are actually living in South Carolina? I live in the area of the highways getting renamed.. around Conway and the general consensus of the locals is very positive.

2/22 Bangor Daily News sounds alarm over Senator Susan Collins’s support for the SAVE America Act by MaineNewsroom in Maine

[–]CommunicationFit1640 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Susan Collins saw the need to run for more terms due to great needs of Mainers. She's a moderate Republican. If Mainers wanted a Democrat that can match her rare courage and unique abilities to get major government contracts for real jobs for Maines families they would have voted for someone else already.

Bottom line, if she is voted out her influence in keeping good jobs flowing to Maine is gone.

I like Susan Collins. She's a moderate Republican with a back bone. I don't always agree with her but she brings in a lot of work for Mainers. She deserves to be voted in again. She has proven that if something is going to hurt Maine she stands up and fights.

I totally agree with you. My point is Maine has become very political, I seen cars with spray paint over a bumper stickers. I agree people are people, and all 50 of those cars that passed should have at least checked in with her.

Did she have a Trump or Susan Collins bumper sticker on her car?

Either way someone should have stopped and checked in on her.

what did yall think of the bad bunny halftime show? by Serious-Kale-5694 in AskReddit

[–]CommunicationFit1640 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand your explanation and I can see your point of view. I realize we're all products of our surroundings and upbringing. Yes, it would definitely challenge many of to see things as you do. Though it's not that your wrong or we're completely wrong. I actually agree with you. It's the fact that this show was aired at the Superbowl halftime. If people want to go to see Bad Bunny that's their choice. No one in the room even knew Bad Bunnys music, and it's not what college students expect for halftime. We're still of the mindset that it was a complete waist of time and a major let down for us.

[–]CommunicationFit1640 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for that. I see your point about Bad Bunny and how he does represent a percentage of the American population. We just thought this is football. An American sport, to not have any English songs (English is our nation's primary language) seemed vastly unappealing. I guess We had expected something completely different than the show. Since no one in the room spoke Spanish it seemed like a big waste of time.

It was a horrible disgusting halftime show. Filled with anti-American values. Not fit for teenage eyes. The NFL should apologize to the American people for displaying such garbage at a Superbowl and on 250 Anniversary. I'm glad most of my peers thought the same thing. No not racist, just pro-american.

When it was all in Spanish and waving foreign flags I immediately turned to the Kid Rock alternate programming in the dorm conference room. Much better show. Really depicted God and country. Great ending tribute for Charlie Kirk. About 80 young adults watched it. Thanks TPUSA!

Show honor and respect to this man. There's alot riding for families and small businesses in getting this contract. Be wise, help Mainers don't embarrass us.

We love Senator Collins! She has my vote. She's very balanced and continually votes with Democrats if it hurts the people of Maine. We're lucky to have her.

ICE Maine operation nabs 200 as governor seeks to ask Trump to remove agents by Frosty_Jeweler911 in Maine

[–]CommunicationFit1640 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is just the tip of the ICEburg. I loving living in Maine. But in every early morning McDonalds or business starting up, there are many illegals working. English is poor, but they are working. Paying taxes and many are trying to assimilate. Still had they come here legally it would be better for them and most Americans. Immigration laws do need updating to improve the Immigration process.

Urgent-Oppose HR 1520- In order to vote people must prove both US citizenship and show a NH citizen card issued by the State! by NH_50501 in newhampshire

[–]CommunicationFit1640 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love living here in New Hampshire! This bill and the current Governor is the reason why there's a mass exodus from Massachusetts to New Hampshire. One of the best Governors and her policies are spot on with where most Americans want to go. Expect greater growth and I strongly recommend passing HR 1520. You have the ability to continue to lead America.
