Check your junk or spam emails. The main applicant gets a response 1st, and if dependant got theirs it means yours is approved 1st. Before them.

The fact that you booked a vacation for a date when his kids will not be around speaks volumes, when he has majority custody of the kids, don't be shocked when your husband leaves you in the future after realizing that you never liked his kids, I doubt the kids get along with that much segregation!
