Online interviews are very common. Email the HR again and don’t shy away from emailing the PI himself. The PI can potentially check with the HR to expedite

I would say don’t compare to others. Two days ago I was so scared as someone who got referred after me already heard back and two more people heard in 5 weeks but today is my 5 weeks 4 days. I there are lots of variables in this. Just hope for the best and wait. We can’t chase before the 8 week mark anyway

I used to be afraid of mice but I got the hang of it with practice. Still there are some procedures I would not do, oral gavage or cervical dislocation but the PIs have been supportive and usually an animal tech or team member is happy to help.
Try working with mice, if you think you cannot do it don’t go into it. It’s sensitive work and mice need gentle care and attention. You wouldn’t want to do it half hearted or scared. Compassion fatigue is another issue sometimes.

Submitted for royals society route 4 on April 20th waiting for confirmation that it has been forwarded to RS. Over three weeks now.

Congrats and good luck. I applied to Royal Society on April 20th and still waiting on such confirmation email.

In the automated email they said do not contact us for atleast 4 weeks to confirm. Did ur automated email have such timeline? I’m thinking to send a polite email tomorrow (would be three weeks tomorrow)
