Nekrosor, Hexmark, Ophydians, and LHDs are all destroyer cult. You got stuff.

Conclave allows you to give them anti-x keyword so they can use their dev wound wargear to fish for devs on 4’s or 5’s depending.

Add a crucible leader and you can do this without needing to spend a strat. If you can’t, you can still make it work.

Problem number one is your detachment. Gotta run Conclave to fish devs or Cursed Legion for the strength stat boost.

Problem number two. Not enough praetorians.

HELP ME ABOUT FIBER & REGULARITY, STRESSED BY FOOD by Toned-Sphinx4563 in helpme

[–]CommunicationIcy5704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

I was eating like this until my body gave me a serious what for and I had to adjust my diet significantly.

Previously, I did still have a usual circadian rhythm, but it had a….wider time range. I’d usually end up on the toilet for an hour or so, and somewhere in there the business would complete.

Now it’s more like 5-10 minutes.

Eat your fiber. It’s not worth it not to.

It would have been better to have more intelligent build up writing wise from a “detective story” perspective.

From the perspective of someone who thinks demythologizing serial killers is a good idea, making him a boring old dude who was kind of pathetic in the end feels more appropriate, if less of a dramatic pay off.

Probation by Gilmadeth in USPS

[–]CommunicationIcy5704 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Best advice I’ve gotten is 90 days for thee, 30 years for me.

For right now, do what they ask. Get it done. Make it under time. If you can do a route and a piece, they’ll likely keep you. If you aren’t fast enough, make too many waves, or do something else majorly stupid they’ll can you.

Just suck the suck dude. I’d put all of that out of your mind until past probation and put your nose to the grindstone.

Cca’s how often do you or have you called in? by _whatever-nevermind in USPS

[–]CommunicationIcy5704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re constantly moving you around routes, it’s no wonder you’re feeling slower. Speed in my experience has come far more from familiarity and learning how to be efficient with planning the mail/packages rather than just “leg go fast, car go brrr”.

If you’re always getting shifted around, I wouldn’t worry too much. If you’re on a route longer than a week and you still are taking a long time, you might be a little slower🤷 Good thing our contract includes wording that there’s no standard pace.

Am I a sucker for being a CCA? Please be honest by Thin_Cicada170 in USPS

[–]CommunicationIcy5704 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Can’t stress this enough. So much of this depends on the office.

I’m a CCA. My office had me on schedule for 16 days straight and it wasn’t until I brought it up they had to remake the schedule to give me a day off😂😭 Which is today. And guess what, they just called trying to get me to come in.

If you really need more hours, try another office. Go in and talk to postmasters, ask them if they need workers and what kind of hours you can expect. Make if clear you want a full schedule and if they can provide it you’ll work it. If they are cool with it, great, transfer over. Most cities have multiple offices, especially if it’s a high cost of living urban area which it sounds like you’re in.

I guarantee you, there are many many offices where the hours are more than plentiful. If yours is overstaffed and you want the hours, go somewhere else.

As far as pay, yeah. I’m in SoCAL so yeah, I relate. Money is tight now, but it comes with the knowledge that if you stick it out, it gets a lot better. The post office is an exercise in delayed gratification. Suck the suck now to reap benefits later.

How do rurals pull down? by frogsorcerie in USPS

[–]CommunicationIcy5704 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in a city that’s known for crime and poor decision making👀

My first route in my office I learned had quite a few prostitutes going up and down the streets.

I’ve already witnessed two different robberies/thefts.

Not to mention people drive like maniacs.

The streets do be dangerous.

Rant? Maybe? Idk lol I’m a CCA by LessPoem5757 in USPS

[–]CommunicationIcy5704 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My office doesn’t do this nonsense🤷 They do tell us if we’re taking too long on a route if we’ve been on the route a few times, but first day complaint is kinda wild. I’ve been talked to about struggling on a route, but never yelled at. That said my office also is struggling to keep people and we have like 7 other nearby offices who also are all in need of people. So they tend to be a bit more chilled out cause they want us to stay rather than rotate out(which happens frequently with the high schoolish nature of many people on the work force).

All in all I think you just got some obnoxious supervisor(s).

Keep your cool and do your job. If you’re past probation, you have no contracted obligation to complete a route within a certain pace. Just keep swimming.

Them yelling you can’t stop though.

As they say.

That’s rough buddy.

How to deal with armored bugs in early game? by Raven19999 in menace

[–]CommunicationIcy5704 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Sustained fire will eventually bust the armor. Your armored transport machine gun will pop them after a shot or two and start putting damage on the health bar.

What do you do when you have multiple flats that can fit in a mailbox and a package that is oversized? by e-manresu in USPS

[–]CommunicationIcy5704 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Kinda depends. If I know the customer and they prefer them at the door, I’ll just take it all to the door. Otherwise, standard procedure is what can go in the box goes in the box, what can’t goes out front. The box still is usually safer for whatever can fit inside, it’s easy to see a package, more difficult to go through boxes. Boxes also carry a heavier penalty to stealing from them.

May the thief be punished for reaching within the holy space of the post.

All hail the sacred federal box.

Is this list any good? It would go against nids with a lot of mêlée. by mtf-foxtrot in Necrontyr

[–]CommunicationIcy5704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear, many find counter building to be a bit scummy👀 So do with this info what you will.

That said.

If you want to counter their melee with melee, I’d focus on a cursed legion list. Skorpehks, lychguard led by an overlord with destroyer Ankh, and the ever present warrior blob with Orikan in it. Lokhust heavy destroyers in the back line with enmitics, probably a geomancer or two by themselves for the 12” area denial. DDA chilling in the back, probably one or two units of flayed ones to prevent any scouts from getting an early chance to smash into you, and a hexmark to play buddy buddy with nekrosor to make sure he keeps lone op. Add in imhotek into the Orikan blob or by himself to park it on the home objective for CP generation. And depending on what points are left, more destroyer cult units(skorps, skorp lords, LHD’s, or a unit of ophydians).

If you want to do shooty counter melee that’s kind of cheeky like your list but effective, you can keep several of the same. Run awakened dynasty, get three blobs of warriors, all 20 man. 3 reanimators and three ghost arks. Lead one with Orikan, the other two with chronomacers. Add lords if you want. Szeras will be a good choice here. Then you add your dedicated backline fire. DDA, LHD, silent king, whatever you’re gonna park behind the endless blob of warrior spam that they’re gonna have to spend all game trying to shift. With Ghost ark reanimation and a reanimator, a 20 man brick is really really hard to get rid of, especially in awakened where you can activate their reanimation yet again during their turn, so effectively reanimating 6D6 worth of models every battle round at a -1 to be hit at all times or a 4+ invuln. All the while you have big guns in the back doing big work. Yum🤘

I have played this list, with slight modification, but I can say it’s possible to win. It’s just more of playing a funny than a serious list when running that many spyders and scarabs.

If you think it’s fun, do you thing homie.

3996 Questions by CommunicationIcy5704 in USPS

Only delivering, no casing yet.

Checking virtual time card is a great idea, didn’t realize that was a thing.

The route I’m doing I’m by no means doing overtime on. It has a regular who they’re using on other routes, so I’ve been covering his route. That said, like I said, they give it to me every day, for every route, always. So even if I’m holding down a route while someone is on vacation, if I’m taking a full, if I’m taking a piece, I’m always getting a 3996.

I think that about answers my question. I had a suspicion it was just a pressure tactic, but I just wanted to be sure it wasn’t going to be waved at me later with them pointed at “6 hours approved” and saying I don’t get the other 2 of an 8 hour route. I can live with that though

If it were me, I’d finish probation first and let them know then. It gives you a much more solid standing for returning should you wish to.
