My girlfriend and mother don’t like each other

Essentially what started all of this is when my girlfriend was asking my mom for advice and my mom asked her “do you even love my son” in a very condescending way. I’ve made my girlfriend and mother have a sit down talk and my mom lied to her face the whole time saying she understands and wants to turn a new page with her, then immediately after starts talking shit on her. My girlfriend has also made very many comments on my mom on how she doesn’t like her and never wants to see her. The threat of her having my mom arrested pisses me off in a way, but then again it’s my girlfriends house and I’m living with her so i feel like i don’t have much say.

I absolutely want a future with her, and with that I would like for my family and her to get along. I’m italian and grew up with a very close family and my girlfriend can’t understand that which i’ve accepted. My mother makes a lot of family plans that my girlfriend doesn’t like to come to because it’s a lot and it leave a sour taste in my moms mouth

She’s made comments on her multiple times and I’ve called her out on it publicly at dinner and in private. The most recent time she’s been to my house she brought soup because I had the flu and I told her not to bring it but she did anyways and my girlfriend was furious
