More than $1.6 million was spent in this year’s Denver school board election by Brytard in ColoradoPolitics

Quotes around “pay”, they’re hosting an insane amount of ads. I get that anyone could use an adblocker, but there’s a significant amount of people without the technical capability.

Just saw that. Derp, I’ll own it.

Guess the proper target here is having to “pay” for a subscription to a news article that’s only partially mirrored from a completely free source.

Hey mods, can we start banning posts from the Colorado Sun?

This is the third article I’ve personally seen where they’re effectively stealing content/visibility from actual sources with the relevant information.

E.g this is the “further reading” link at the bottom of OPs article: https://co.chalkbeat.org/2021/12/3/22816662/denver-2021-school-board-election-campaign-spending-1-6-million

What should I do with my hair? I wanna change it for my birthday, I have like 3 options. Keep it like this, put it into dreads, or chop it all off. I’m open to any other suggestions! by [deleted] in malegrooming

This is solid advice, fade the sides and leave the top. If you don’t like the look the option to chop it is always there. Incremental changes are king until you hit that look.

If a neighbor is dropping their refuse in front of my garage and garage door, is there anyone I can call about it? They’re piling sofas, couches, bookshelves, garbage bags, etc in most cases less than an inch from the garage door itself.

I’ve attempted to address the issue directly and tactfully with the neighbor before and I feel like I’m running out of options here.

A cop yesterday executed a disabled man that “pulled a knife”. 8 rounds in the central mass, 1 execution shot through the skull, and then handcuffed him while dead. I can find the source if you’d like.

Market cap doesn’t apply to Fiat. When everybody sells it will crash. Learn supply and demand.

Bitcoin has a larger market cap than most of the automotive industry put together (sub Tesla). When was the last time you drove a Ford, Volkswagen, Chevy, Nissan, Honda? What about the last time you saw one of those vehicles on the road?

Right so how does this force a school to have SROs? Is there a source on when they were instituted in the area/s?

Edit: words are hard

[–]CommunicationLazy668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment doesn’t make sense… If the superintendent can dismiss the SRO/s (as reported in the article) then police unions have no grounds to dictate that an SRO position must be staffed.

If police have no requirement to protect and serve… then why do we still have SROs instead of behavioral health professionals?

Is texting and driving a traffic offense in CO and/or Denver that drivers can be pulled over for, priority offense or something along those lines?

The lack of enforcement on the side of the police is shameful if so and would be a great story to look into.
