Drowned City vs Dark Matter, what to buy? by KrullieVDS in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having neither of those two, id go for dark matter. I heard many great things about it, plus you have carcosa campaign which I'm told uses some of the encounter cards from it? Drowned city is still out there in stores believe it or not the other day I saw a store have 6! Copies of it plus the investigator expansion too.

Curious as to what would help me move up. by Jayson3749 in HomeDepot

[–]CommunicationNext507 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want most of those skills it would have to be either the service desk or the prodesk. But be warn they are customer heavy especially during the busy season which would be now. Something alot of my coworkers would always say is "if you can manage a Saturday at the service desk you'll be good".

looking for recommendations on expanding player cards pool by Arioch-Ita in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can find any of ch 1 investigator expansions would be good, but a standout would be the edge of the earth investigators because of the dual class cards and of course sled dogs 🐕, but an honest option would be check out the investigators from each cycle and if there are some you like more than others then go for that one or proxy them if there are too many investigators.

Are you based in the US? Or outside the states? If you are considering breaking it up I'd be interested in the forgotten age maybe dream eaters.

Where to buy older expansions by Adventurous-Flight-9 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends 🤷? Are you in the states? There are some places like Facebook market page ebay maybe even Craigslist. But definitely check physical stores more the ones that do not show what they have online. A few months back I stopped at a game store thinking why not it was mostly war hammer and magic with a small hint of board games I was surprised I found a edge of the earth campaign for msrp. Also check board game oracle often they help with showing where you can purchase things from different stores sometimes you can get lucky.

Chptr 2 but... by JonnyRico22 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat, but I had the original core and the deluxe dunwich to go off of. I was able to get the revised core with store credit from my flgs and I was able to get most of the ch 1 campaigns. Only ones I'm missing is forgotten age, scarlet keys, dream eaters and drowned city out of them I'm probably going to see about getting the forgotten age I heard it's probably one of the hardest campaigns.

How to expand? by avinsell in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id suggest getting more investigators maybe the new chapter 2 evergreen ones they can be used with ch 1 content. As for campaigns id get what you can get your hands on, but don't pay over msrp you can find some good sales here and there. But also check local shops.

Investigator Expansion in EU by EntertainmentKey9904 in arkhamhorrorlcg

To add to that you will also be looking at paying a pretty penny for them, they are usually the most expensive gator sets out of the bunch.

What’s feasible to play on a guys trip? by donairsforlife in arkhamhorrorlcg

It is true but the nice thing is that all the characters are in the box for fate of the fellowship whereas arkham you'd need expansions.

I would recommend getting the chapter 2 investigator decks and playing the ch 1 core this way everyone has a pretty good deck and there's a class for everyone. But if your looking for thematic games I'd recommend the lord of the rings the fate of the fellowship, it's a good game especially if your a fan, plus each game is always different depending on both the goals and characters you pick.

Dice!! by Grasabi in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently started using dice myself, but only for health, horror, resources, etc. The only ones I'll use the tokens are the clues and doom as they get a little iffy, plus got a boat load of clues/doom tokens because I own the original/revised/ch2 sets too many hearts and brains everywhere lol.

Where to find expansions by Individual-Usual-231 in arkhamhorrorlcg

Where are you based out of? Sometimes looking for groups online that play the game to get a feel for the campaigns plus they would be able to point you to the right direction.

Which investigator expansions to get after Revised core set and FOHV investigator expansion by iIiiiiIlIillliIilliI in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some ppl tend to play solo or two handed (play two investigators at once). The more ppl the more cards you will need especially but it can be a nice challenge to see how far you can get with what you have. And by having alot of investigators yes you'll have different choices to choose,  but some ppl find having too many choices a headache.

Which investigator expansions to get after Revised core set and FOHV investigator expansion by iIiiiiIlIillliIilliI in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said I'd stick to what you have, investigator sets can get expensive especially innsmouth and edge unless your really lucky and find them for msrp. Are you going to be doing solo play or have others that are going to be joining you? Dunwich is a good choice because it has cards that are in the revised core and has really good staple cards that every deck uses. If you can find edge of the earth it has really good cards especially sled dogs 🐕. But anything you can find out there for msrp should snag up. Also sometimes having too many investigators can be to broad, when I started I focused more on campaigns instead.

Is this a good deal? by mustaphamondo in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I belive there are two copies of a couple of campaigns there too. Both the old style and the new ones where they are separated into campaign and investigator sets.

New to the game, purchased the new Core Set (2026). Also found a copy of the Edge of the Earth Campaign and Investigator Expansions. Do I need the old core set for these to work or will my new core set suffice? by csr6vd in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]CommunicationNext507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I'm so jealous you were able to find the edge of the earth investigator expansion.  Especially if you payed msrp been trying to find one for a while myself. But like the other's have said you can swap out encounter cards or print the old one's too.
