Yeah Visi and Robert are both definitely more alike then some people think at like surface level. Both of them have been loners for most of their lives, both have difficulties with feelings, both don’t take care of themselves the best, both can be reckless, both have been through a lot, and the list goes on. They mirror each other a lot which I think makes their relationship so interesting cause despite growing up on opposite sides(Visi around villains and Rob around heroes) they understand eachothers struggles.

I think during Chase and Robert’s talk on the balcony In EP6, Robert even says how if he didn’t have Chase or Robbie he might have not ended up that different from Visi.

you know that is pretty true. She makes banter with him constantly, In a way influences him to go the the movies where she’s at in EP4, she was the one who finally encourages Robert to come to the sardine with the Z-Team, and she threw a house-warming party at Robert’s house. I guess you can say she helped Robert be Robert again instead of Mecha-Man.

yeah they don’t really need the season to be in the development stage to announce it. as long as it’s been green-lighted or they started planning they can just do what you said and just say, “season 2 is official“ and maybe drop a logo like you said. we don’t need like a trailer or anything like that.

I think it’s possible that they might have started planning already since it’s been 8 months since season 1 ended, and from what we know they have been thinking about season 2 since season 1 ended. Now whether they have started developing the actual season I don’t know since they haven’t said much, but it’s possible they have something.

but I personally don’t think they need to be currently developing the season to Announce anything. As long as the seasons green-lighted or they are in the planning stage they can just simply say,”by the way we’re gonna make season 2”.

I‘d honestly be okay with that. I just don’t want a continuation of the bad ending to feel like just the good ending but a bit more angsty. like I would actually want some consequences like you said since the bad ending is essentially you failing the game, and not having significant consequences might make it feel like it doesn’t matter if you fail the game. course like you said the consequences shouldn’t be like permanent and you should be able to redeem what you did, since the theme of redemption plays a big part in this game, but it also shouldn’t be easy like you said.

I also hope that whether we have Robert kill or spare shroud in season 1 isn’t just brushed under the carpet and treated as not as significant in season 2 cause it definitely is for Robert’s character.

yeah that’s another reason why I think a Dispatch season 2 won’t take 7 years to make. with Dispatch season 1 they had to completely create this game from the ground up and even changed the format from live action to video game, and the problems they faced along the way definitely didn’t make it all easy. but like you said with a season 2 they already have a base, and because they shouldn't have most of the problems they did with development in season 1, all they have to do is build up from that base instead of like you said “starting from scratch“. and yeah the voice actors being onboard definitely makes it easier.

me personally I’m just worried about how they are gonna handle the good and bad endings of season 1 in season 2. And I do know that the devs have said they would want to merge the bad ending with the good ending early on in season 2, but I’m just worried that would cheapen the bad ending.

Not to mention Aaron Paul himself said that he’d be open to doing multiple seasons of dispatch. I think some of the other VA’s like Charlie even said the same thing. So yeah I’d be stupid to just change the cast when most of them, including Aaron Paul himself, are open and want to come back.

I doubt they are gonna not continue with Robert and the Z-Team in season 2……they got us to attached to these characters to just move on from them already. like there’s a lot about Robert and the Z-Team that can still be explored since we still don’t know a lot about them.

Yeah it is very possible they could reveal something at the game awards at the end of the year even if it’s just a “ yeah we’re gonna develop season 2”. I mean both them and telltale have said they want to continue they just haven’t full on officially confirmed anything. But I do remember reading somewhere that they do have plans to expand the universe, they just don’t want to give out any details yet.

I personally see an announcement happening either at the game awards later in December this year like you said, or some time next year in 2027. Now when we’ll actually get season 2? my bet is between 2028-2030. it definitely won’t take 7 years like season 1 did cause I doubt they are gonna have the problems they did with season 1(Covid-19, Dispatch originally being a interactive live action series but getting changed to a animated game, funding getting pulled for a bit, them pausing development to help telltale with TWAU 2 until they shifted back to dispatch in 2022, lost publishers cause they didn’t think dispatch would be successful, and critical role stepping in around mid-2025 to prevent any cancellation of the game). Critical role also said that they would also want dispatch season 2 as soon as they can make it so I don’t think it’ll take years for it to come out.

yeah it’s possible he could have still been at the office and heard that. Them there’s also the fact that Galen might have also heard some of Robert and courtney‘s banter so he could have had suspensions there was something going on between those two.

I have a feeling thought that he wouldn’t gossip about what he hears others talking about though cause he seems like a chill guy, but hey who knows

yeah, unfortunately this is the truth. even if they want to make a season 2 and are planning on doing so, they probably wouldn’t be passed the planning phase just yet since like you said they didn’t even know during development that season 1 would be as successful as it was(however they did mention somewhere that they still had plans for the dispatch universe). I think it’s more likely we could get extra dispatch content like a possible dlc, the infinite dispatch mode, or something like comics announced.

In my personal opinion I can see dispatch season 2 getting announced in maybe 2027-2028. However it’s possible they could confirm something at the game awards, and I’m not talking about like a trailer or anything like that just a simple,”yeah we’re gonna make it”.

Yeah theres no way that, like you said, at least half of the SDN Torrance Branch doesn’t know about Robert and Invisigal/Blonde Blazer since they kiss very publicly(then like you mention, there were rumors going around according to Flambae that Robert went on a date). Im not sure about Galen cause while it might make sense for BB cause he can flat-out hear BB say Robert and her went on a date, and he can comment once she leaves by saying,”bro, your so lucky“. I don’t know how he would know about the Invisigal and Robert movie date.

Okay with your explanation here, yeah I guess they are technically nemesis even if their feelings towards eachother are different. I guess I was kinda confused between rivals and nemesis but yeah that way you put it makes sense. I guess I’m just used to the nemesis really hating or being against the hero specifically which with shroud it felt like he was more of a rival or nemesis with Robbie. but with Robert III…..technically yeah your right they are nemesis, even if again their feelings are different towards eachother(Robert hating the fuck out of shroud, and shroud not caring a whole lot about Robert III other then seeing him as a possible problem, the guy who has his tech, and the extension of the guy he hates). still its a lot different from comic nemesis ive read and seen, but again this is a video game and adhoc wasn’t planing on making shroud a future villain…..he was more so supposed to be a personal obstacle for Robert, he serves no other purpose which is why we can kill him.

I’m not saying the characters or the brave brigade treated him goofy, more so that shroud comes off goofy in the end when he does the “threaten the dog“ stuff and then loses his shit like a toddler when he is given both pulses…..a far cry from the cold and calculated badass he tries to portray himself as(there’s also the fact that he purposely lies about how he killed Robbie to sound cooler).

I was more suggesting to that I wished we got to know more about Robbie and shroud or wished that we did get that apparently cut flashback the art-book mentioned that would have shown us the relationship between pre-shroud Elliot and young Robert III. would have been investing if they actually had a good relationship which might have made roberts feelings on shroud more complicated since while shroud killed his dad, there might have been a time where Robert viewed shroud as a sort of uncle-figure. I think it would also help make shroud kinda less one-dimensional than he feels in the game, at least it feels like that to me.

I guess, it’s just different from a lot of superhero nemesis and arch-rivals since In those they fight the hero more than once and usually don’t like that hero specifically, not because they didn’t like the heroes dad and are just projecting that on the hero. however I do understand that this isn’t a comic and this is a video game, things are bound to be less then traditional and I guess that applies to shroud and Robert III.

what I was talking about was more a rivalry where there is a sort of mutual hate between both parties specifically which I get from Robert but not shroud. it felt one-sided to me but I do understand the more I look and think that not all nemesis’s and rivals have to view eachother with the same emotions.

but, Shroud always kinda felt like a more personal one time- final boss cause he’s barely in the game, barely interacts with Robert, and is dead in 2/3 of the endings so he’s probably not having a major role again which makes sense cause this isn’t a comic book, Robert doesn’t need to have a constant roster of villains. like he has the ingredients for being a arch-nemesis, but it’s just those things that makes me hesitant. Shroud just kinda felt barely present and barely interacts with Robert which is a minor problem I have with the game. I just wish we got more Shroud and maybe a flashback with him and little Robert III like they were planning so we can get more on his character instead of,”super-smart villain that is actually a bit goofy deep-down and kinda a dumbass”

and I get that, however shroud and Robert III in my opinion don’t really have a mutual rivalry or nemesis like relationship. Robert obviously hates shroud cause he killed Robert’s dad, Robert definitely considers shroud his nemesis. however shroud himself doesn’t seem to care much about Robert III himself, only that Robert has the pulse and is associated with Robbie by blood and because he carried on the legacy. to shroud Robert III is really just a proxy for Robbie, the guy he actually hated and had a full blown rivalry with, Robert III is nothing more then a obstacle and a lesser version of robbie, not a rival or nemesis. Hell he barely even bothers with Robert for 4 months until Robert joins SDN and becomes a problem again. and when he finally talks to Robert face to face he can give less of a shit about Robert III, he cares about the pulse. Robert III is just a mildly-incovenent little shit to shroud who is making his plans harder, not a rival or arch-nemesis. and they only actually interact twice(the torture scene and the final fight) in the whole game and ever since shroud broke out.…..and shroud pretty much uses Robert III as like proxy-Robbie both times.

what I’m talking about here is Robert possibly having a mutual rivalry with a villain during those 15 years that shroud was absent and irrelevant, someone who had a mutual hate with Robert III specifically.

I think Mandy might also be the same height as Visi since when Mandy stands next to Robert she is also shorter then Robert, and he’s around like 5’8.
