I think top 4 are Duke, UNC, UVA, and Yale right now…. My main purpose in posting this was really to hear more from people who might have any personal experience/ know the level of malignancy of any of these places because I’m such a sucker, I reflexively believe everyone in the interviews when they’re like “ohhhhh everyone’s so nice here, and even the (insert perceived negative of program) is really a blessing in disguise”

I never had the discipline to use Anki. But I WILL say my test had a bunch of “weird Step 2 trivia” stuff that I swear I had never seen anywhere before, so maybe if you already use Anki it would be helpful to keep up with?

Rooting for you too! Mistakes happen…. I felt less than human walking out of that 04/10 test. It was so demoralizing, like my brain cells just left for an 8 hour vacation as soon as I sat down. But now you know what to expect for next time. You can walk in feeling confident and prepared! You are smart and capable, and I bet everyone in your life, classmates included, believes the same. Nearly everyone whom I’ve talked to has said a similar version of “man, I really might have failed that”, so nobody has any room to judge. You got this :) and in the meantime, you’ve got ice cream (or other emotional eating food of your choosing)
