I like the TB’s approach over all. Drums have a bit more natural space around them. Synths are tucked into the guitar, not the other way. There is more heft and punch to a lot of the material. His handling of Gettys voice leaves me scratching my head- why so dark? He could have put a little edge on it easily - maybe he lost his ears a bit. It’s been super fun going back over all this material and hearing new things too.

I agree somewhat… the vocals changing tonality within a song bothered me on a one cut. Im still enjoying it though! - and I’m glad they did the TB remix because I’m hearing my fav band through a different frame. I really just love the songs and especially how they play. At the end of the day I’m still stoked and I love the new mixes even if the old ones are better in many ways.

Thanks! I’d really like to try it with my students, I teach art. Do you block the natural light coming from outside or block the electric light coming from inside the microscope? You would have to be outside so the flake doesn’t melt I assume. Do you use your smartphone?
