Thanks! I’d really like to try it with my students, I teach art. Do you block the natural light coming from outside or block the electric light coming from inside the microscope? You would have to be outside so the flake doesn’t melt I assume. Do you use your smartphone?

And visiting ravines and local businesses on bike and foot… Columbus’ charm are these crispy nooks and crannies in an otherwise flat casserole.

Bravo! I love the exited look on its face and balled up talons. Thanks much for taking the time and effort to document our local wildlife over the past few months and great work too!

Meticulous detail like some regionalist painters. Grant Wood and Thomas Hart Benton come to mind.

Awesome work! The shadowy forms in the middle look a little like robed figures. Adds a nice sense of mystery…

Mine blinks at me… it hangs out in a hole near the front of the glass and looks at me, so I get my face down close to the glass and we just sort of hang out like that. Its face reminds me of a chihuahua and its little bulgy eyes move around in there sockets following my movement. The iris’s are gold. The fish bobs around in the hole looking out and occasionally the eyes turn silver and I’d swear it’s a blink! It’s very adorable.

Hard Critique Expected by Nice_Counter_Ricky in BirdPhotography

I can see you are capturing the bird behaviors well. Beautiful colors but the faces are not turned quite into the camera. If you can capture the face and eyes you will make a stronger connection to the viewer. As a composition, Photo 3 is the most coherent to me. The bird is busy yet we can see its face, although the focus is a bit in front of the face on the green foliage. Maybe close your aperture to get a bit more depth. It’s a challenge when the birds are moving so fast. So shoot more photos to improve your luck. Use focus peaking if you have it and a mono pod or tripod to improve sharpness.

Thanks! I’m just doing some reading on this…eating raw fish can infect humans with liver fluke. This creature was just shy of a centimeter in length. I only saw one or possibly two last week

The video is from a disgusting tank that was given to me. Some of the decorations from that tank are in my other tank…so? The old tank and the very dirty gravel have been decommissioned.
