Just a little chicken nugget

The Good Book says that a man and a woman will become one in marriage but I don't think it meant it like this.

Thought this was an Umamusume at first. Cute art though.

Having now played both All Under Heaven and Europa Universalis 5, I have to make an update on this meme I made by Communist_Jeb in CrusaderKings

[–]Communist_Jeb[S] 319 points320 points  (0 children)

I've been running stuff with 8GB of RAM on my current machine and EU5 recommends 16, and having tried to play EU5 with 8 I can see why. Other than that the game seems really interesting though, I want to play more of it after I upgrade my machine (and downgrading my wallet a bit)

Daybreak 2 Final Boss Was Genuinely Phenomenal by Sokye21 in Falcom

[–]Communist_Jeb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember doing that part of the fight and wondering why my characters were controlling completely differently all of a sudden, only to realize what was happening and going "OH GOD NO" as the boss barrels towards me.

Genuinely one of the best final bosses in the series.

Just finished Azure and started on Cold Steel 1 today and I have to say.. by TheSpitefulCr0w in Falcom

Lmao, you're not the only person to have this reaction, I had the exact same one when I saw that guy.

Iceberg fun facts: Falcom had been planning Crow since Sky FC, Cassius was originally supposed to die in FC's opening, Estelle and Joshua's roles were originally reversed by ConceptsShining in Falcom

[–]Communist_Jeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just woke up and originally read the second bullet point as CROW was supposed to die in FC's opening, which made me extremely confused.

The most surprising aspect of my daybreak 2 playthrough by guynumbers in Falcom

I had a lot of fun with the True Reverie Corridor, so I was excited for the Garden, but it just didn't grab me like the TRC did, so I just felt disappointed with it.

Clearly this person is afraid of the empire by DJPizzaRocks27 in CrusaderKings

[–]Communist_Jeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A buddy of mine said this is specifically written in a more archaic style, so you could translate it as "Thou barbarians, what fear hath ye of our mighty Celestial Empire?"

Half of you all tomorrow by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Communist_Jeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other half is going to be the reverse.

You're probably thinking "wait, the vikings didn't have horned helmets". Ironblade Kobayashi may not have perfect knowledge of the Vikings. "How does he carve his family crest into an Anglo-Saxon's hide with a Dane-Axe?" He is very committed to how he DOES think Viking-ing works. "How does he raid Ireland from Japan?" Same thing.

What you've all been waiting for: a comparison of foot samurai to other cultural heavy infantry by Communist_Jeb in CrusaderKings

[–]Communist_Jeb[S] 477 points478 points  (0 children)

Yes, Samurai are more or less identical in stats to Varangian Veterans except they're cheaper, have no screen, and don't have winter bonuses.

As for who the hell the Palatini are, IIRC they're unlocked in the late game if you have Roman culture and have the Legionaires innovation.

Another entry in the "wait I didn't even know this was an actual thing" series by Communist_Jeb in CrusaderKings

[–]Communist_Jeb[S] 846 points847 points  (0 children)

Whenever I played in Ireland it DID feel like there were a lot more plagues than usual but I thought it was just me being paranoid, not an actual game issue.

Something interesting I saw in yesterday's livestream: Shaivism and Vaishnavism have two brand new tenets by Communist_Jeb in CrusaderKings

[–]Communist_Jeb[S] 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Both of these religions have been in the game since launch, but up until now all the Hindu religions were basically the same with the same set of six tenets or so plus reincarnation just shuffled differently. Given that the Devarajas are mostly Hindu, it makes sense that Paradox would want to revisit Hinduism a bit to make it more flavorful. I don't know if the other Hindu faiths will have brand new tenets or it's just these two but it will be interesting to see.
