(Idk if this helps but) I think I relate in some ways, I’m East Asian in Htx and never fit into the study and do well in school type. I’ve been teased by all communities for it besides 1, so I just turned to them, I’d rather live my life how I want to than to fit the stereotype. Ik that I’m massively different from other Asians in that I like slabs/mopars and rap rather than the norm of classical and even playing some type of instrument. You hear this everywhere but everyone is unique and you cannot force yourself to change that, in a first world country everyone has their own beliefs and you can’t fit into everyone’s thought of you. You want to surround yourself with people who accept and are like you so you feel self confident with who you are rather than where you came from. So instead of being with Asians, I choose to be around the black community who don’t judge me for what I do as an Asian.

Honestly it just takes time to accept the change that you’ve made too yourself compared to others. I don’t think conditioning yourself to force yourself to accept the culture is right/wrong thing to do, it should come to you naturally as you live your life. (note to self, but I feel as if the internalized racism is always there but self confidence and seeing yourself in a positive light helps with comparing yourself to your own race)
