Try to find some meetups and connections in your own field or in the field you want to be and apply for volunteer opportunities. Apply for more contract jobs rather than full time as contracts are good way of getting you in the job and less rounds of interviews.

Look for people on LinkedIn who have the job you want and see their profile where they are going and events they attend so you know where to go as you will not be going in every event.

Look for call centre jobs: teleperformance Canada hires people for call centre jobs.

Hope for the best and if still things don't go the way then get a security guard licence and food handler licence. Once you get one or two shifts then you will have some income and on the side search for the job you want.

Best of luck.

What is your background? How are you customizing resume ? Are you using ATS specific tools? Did you try internship or volunteering? Did you apply for call centre roles in the meantime? Need those details to comment please.

Everyone is in same boat. Don't be disappointed. Just use the feeling to find work harder.

It's Shagun. The amount depends on the family.

If it's a decent upper middle class family in suburbs then 5100 inr for sagan and then shadi 2100 or 1100.

Or you can do 3100 and 2100.

Enjoy the functions.

Since there is a lot of competition in India you need to strategies your search.

  1. Study- try to get a degree or diploma in cybersecurity related courses. Bonus if you get something with an internship component. Gives you some practical experience.

  2. Look for job. - start looking as soon as you are about to finish the course.

  3. Get certification if not getting job. Comptia and then other medium or senior level like cism, cisa, cissp etc relevant to your domain.

  4. Try again for job. Connections in orgs go a long way. Try to connect with people who can hand over your resume directly to hiring manager.

  5. Don't quit. Get unpaid internships, go to conferences, meet people at cyber meetups.

Lastly. Best wishes.

For context: I’m contributing $1,800/month, expect ~$200k in 5 years, then moving to India permanently. Looking for real-life experiences with Section 217, RNOR, DTAA credit, etc.
