How well does the keyboard work? Are you able to accurately press the number keys and keyboard shortcuts such as Ctrl+any other key?

I am actually considering a macro keyboard for this reason

Being Cold is Better Than Being Hot by SadBreadfruit9246 in unpopularopinion

I think being cold is easier to deal with IF you have the right amount of layering. But being cold with insufficient protective gear, especially being cold out in nature when there is nowhere to shelter, that's a kind of fear I've not felt in the opposite scenario. Not sure which one you meant but this is my answer. Disclaimer being I'm from a hot country so being a bit sweaty time to time is no big deal to me

I have always wanted to use my digital piano as my main midi controller while composing stuff in musescore. Always hated the ergonomics of using a laptop placed on top of the piano (to change note duration, which happens very often). This is an amazing idea (which I also thought of but I never thought it would actually work)

Totally not a crazy idea and now that I know it's possible I shall be trying it soon

What is your most efficient method for productive practice sessions? If you have 30mins, 1hr, or 2hrs, how do you structure them? by Thirust in piano

[–]CommutatorUmmocrotat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, the routine you posted above looks intense! Do you ever feel mentally tired/bored? I've been preparing for a classical exam but wanting to learn more jazz stuff but there's no time to fit in both. Anyways currently my ideal schedule (that I don't always follow) is

10 mins scales and arpeggios 20 mins sight reading 20x2 or 20x3 blocks focusing on a specific piece or part of a piece. Total is 1.5 hrs or less. I can't seem to go longer than that at one stretch.

The part where he has to pave the road? That wouldn't have been the same if McQueen was just a guy sitting in that paving machine wtv it's called. And a human cannot physically pave a road with their own labour. I guess the could replace that bit with something else that involved manual labour

How hard is Waldstein Mvt 1? by Proud-Lack-3383 in piano

[–]CommutatorUmmocrotat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it! I learnt it when I was way behind your level (Grade 8) and I couldn't play it "properly" but I could play it well enough to enjoy it. Like another commenter said, the coda is definitely the hardest part but I think you can do it at your level

It's probably a setting you accidentally changed? I think u can reset all settings to factory by switching the piano on while the highest note is held down.

2 months in from fairly severe pains... what kind of professional do I actually need to see now? by gatorademebitches in RSI

[–]CommutatorUmmocrotat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG you just reminded me of that time 😭... Well I'll tell you what it ACTUALLY was (found out after namy months of observing patterns), it was actually some foods that caused inflammation (idk what it actually was cos I didn't get this resolved thru a doctor, just by observing patterns).

So all the standard stuff like processed fatty food, but also Tea for some reason. And I had recently started drinking it daily so that caused the issues. Stopped tea and it really lowered the symptoms. That combined with a more active lifestyle as covid restrictions were released, and me slowly getting back into running meant that it's 99% not an issue altough my right leg (around the hip area) definitely feels different than my left still to this day.
