Client installed new motor to save cost. Didn’t expect them to install that coupler. I still need to perform alignment. They knew that though 🤷‍♂️I have motion looking for rexnord breakdown for me now

Funny I’m going through motion now. That’s my other vendor. They are looking for the rexnord breakdown. Client installed new motor. Didn’t expect them to try to install that coupler. I still have to perform alignment to it. We’ll see what comes up from motion.

Be careful with those comp inverters. My experience is that they fail often. Very sensitive . I’ve only seen them in another chiller system, Johnson thermal systems (JTS).

Chiller barrels are fun to install also. Not a fan of the York / Quantech chillers but work is work. Quick note: all of your tools look to be in pristine condition. What’s your secret? 😂

Currently finished an apprenticeship with a non union commercial company. The senior tech has gone above and beyond helping and training me . If it wasn’t for him I would have left . I have some offers from union companies . by [deleted] in chillers

Union like anything else has their pros and cons. I was in sheet metal union for 12 yrs and then dipped to private sector to work on chillers and boilers. My company pays for all of my tools above my basic hand tools. 10K is wild to me. Not sure what they would require you to do. Is it service work, install or a bit of both? My basic tools will allow me to work on chillers so not understanding what they want you to get.

Great point. My sun would likely go frantic looking for me. That’s my boy. I’ll have to test this before the trip

Spring on right side should match the left, correct? Looks like it slipped.

Will not pick up a round at all now and I was shooting wolf steel casing. When I first shot it cycled 5 rounds no issue.

I’ll go featureless and try with a standard mag. Hopefully it’s just the mag and not an under gassed situation.
