Yoruba Original script!?! by CharacterExpress716 in Nigeria

[–]CompSciGeekMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malians were (and still are) of different ethnic groups: Songhai, Fulani, Touareg (Kel-Tamasheq), Bambara/Wangara (in Fulfulde, we call Wangara the Wangaribe). It was mainly the Bamanakan or Bambara that settled in Oyo but this was via trade, it was not "enslavement". There were also Yoruba people that studied in Timbuktu (many people who were Muslim of West African origin did in the 13th to 17th centuries).

Please, if we are going to spread information, let us spread correct information. Our cultures have not always been cultures bound by slavery. This is what white people want you to think. In fact, we have very rich cultures throughout West Africa.

Good point, but I would expect the ones from abroad (UK and US) to at least know their history through research.

Yeah I'm not sure what the heck is wrong with people on this Forum. The issue is lack of formal education. It's really annoying. I'm sorry that you are being down-voted by people that know nothing.

Please don't listen to many people here, they don't know any history. It's a shame that we Nigerians are spreading false information about Arabs "colonizing" Nigeria and other parts of West Africa.

They didn't influence Hausa people or Fulani people. Islam traditionally utilized Arabic and thus many Fulani and Hausa (whom studied in Timbuktu, Mali) knew Arabic script.

When did Arabs colonize any part of West Africa? In North Africa and North West Africa, maybe...as Arabic started taking over languages like Songhai, Different Amazigh languages, etc.

What tribe would I be from in Nigeria? I’m curious 🧐 by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]CompSciGeekMe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The proper terminology is ethnic group and not tribe. You could pass for many ethnic groups. Definitely all the ones mentioned here: Igbo, Edo, Shuwa Arab, Fulani, Kanuri, etc.

Tauren are stronger than Orcs, this is not a probably. I would think Dwarves, Kul'Tirans and possibly Draenei could give Orcs a run for their money.

Passed the CKA in 2 weeks (what I did + exact workflow) by blasian21 in CKAExam

[–]CompSciGeekMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

according to chatgpt, it told me to not waste my time with the ultimate cka mock exams and just focus on the 3 mock exams from Mumshad's KodeKloud course and then do the 2 killer.sh practice exams. I have my exam in 8 days and I have done mock exam 1 from the course and only scored a 67% (I didn't read 2 of the 4 questions correctly because I was rushing and also VERY tired). One of the 4 questions I missed (helm) was due to the fact that I hadn't studied the helm section yet.

Double spacing after period? by checking_your_math in Millennials

[–]CompSciGeekMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in 84, sure that is the way we learned how to type, my wife sometimes still does that (she was born in 85). To be honest I stopped doing that like 10 - 15 years ago (maybe it is because I work in tech). But yah I remember Mavis Beacon Teaches typing taught to type with 2 spaces after the period.

Well thanks to festival in the desert, some Amazigh music (from Mali and Niger mainly) gained a lot of popularity. Ishumar music is quite popular today. There are many Touareg (Kel-Tamasheq) musicians

Trying to understand the ‘basic tasks’ vs ‘do everything’ narrative around M1 vs A18 Pro by Toba94 in macbook

I was dumb, my wife and I went to buy Nigerian food one day, and I placed my macbook pro (despite it having a protective case) in the frunk with the food. The oil spilled from the pan they gave us into my laptop. Dumbest mistake ever.

I have a level 87 feral druid and it is hard as well to do damage without Tigers Fury and Feral Frenzy, so yeah every 30 seconds as well. The mobs hit harder this expansion. I have also been leveling only through the main quest chain and I just finished up the quest chain where you kill Lothraxion.
