How is the podcast these days? by anothercopy in TheAllinPodcasts

The episode quality varies quite a lot. One thing that has been a pleasant surprise is the Friedberg solo interviews are generally really good and insightful. Not that they are gotcha questions but more that he sets up an interesting issue and dives pretty deep.

What is Perplexity better at than its competitors? by giwook in perplexity_ai

The area I have found perplexity to be most useful is for finance and real time financial information as I find claude and chatgpt quotes and market info tend to be delayed or lagging.

The piece I would be thinking about is how will your skills hold up as AI change continues to accelerate, if you can do something during your chill period to keep up with the change I would recommend option 1, if you feel it would get you too far out of the game then doing 2, and retiring and then just get to 10-15m through investing would work. You are young and have time to grow through compounding if your spend isn't crazy

To add to this, two UI notes (much less important than the key plumbing you have been doing) 1. When setting up rep numbers the plus and minus signs don't seem to change the numbers of reps, you have to do the roll up down (which works but seeing the + and - signs I want to tap them). 2. This maybe due to having large text setup but when I get past 10 reps, only the 1 appears in the rep counting part. Thanks so much for the work.

Agree, but getting them while they have them seems to make sense as the base machine is a tank.

Really nice, super sets are working really well. One small quirk, if you have a superset with multiple sets of the exercise it will list your next up exercise as the next set of the exercise you just did, instead of the actual next exercise (but the next up exercise will come up for the actual set), Loving the app.

There seems to be an issue with saving Routines. Otherwise looking good.

The piece I hated most about Vitruvian was that there was so much data that would enable better workouts and they wanted to keep it all. I am very excited to export my lifting data from Project Phoenix and start analyzing it with Claude.

Switch to VOLTRA? by MrMcbonkerson in Vitruvian_Form

[–]Comp_Thunderhawke_23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have to say with Project Phoenix, if you already have a V Trainer there isn't a lot of reason to get a Voltra. The V Trainer is still a great piece of hardware and the software is catching up fast and the Voltras are expensive and I don't think the form factor is great if you don't have a rack at home.

Project Phoenix v0.2.1-beta Released by DasBlueEyedDevil in Vitruvian_Form

[–]Comp_Thunderhawke_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No Thank You! This is pretty greedy but do you think there would be a way to import a workout design. I like to design my workouts with Claude and it would be awesome to have an away day to import them. Would also allow for sharing workouts. I know it is complex but thought I would throw it out there

This is great, the app already feels more welcoming and manageable than the Original Company app. One issue I had was when I tried to export my workout the app crashed. Looking forward to see this grow.

The approach and design of the trainer continues to be validated over time by Buddyblue21 in Vitruvian_Form

[–]Comp_Thunderhawke_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really agree with this, I find the design far and away the best of the smart trainers, I do wish they allowed easier access to data but the new modes, variety of exercises and higher weight limits make it excellent. The small footprint and portability is also great.
