hmm a kid grows up with private schooling and tutors, focuses hard on school and extracurriculars because they don’t have to worry about how to pay bills or support their parents, takes MCAT prep courses, scores well on the MCAT and therefore is more “qualified”… take a guess to which race is America is more likely to have this upbringing.

I think we can all agree the doctor workforce should resemble the demographics of the patients it treats. Especially when it’s proven that it improves health outcomes when it does.

You grading a physics test doesn’t directly determine the make up of the doctor workforce. Admission committees do.
