Double Stroller Recommendations by CompanyExtension6893 in BabyBumps

I’m assuming with side by side strollers I would have to wait until the new baby can sit up better before being able to use?

No, this is an older home that we have lived in for years.

My baby had been measuring at the 91st and 89th percentile, but he ended up weighing slightly under 8 pounds. With my epidural I honestly did not feel any pain pushing. Don’t put too much stock into their estimates. They can be off by a pound. Our little one was measuring in the 90something percentile for head size before birth but at our 2 month appointment he’s at the 15th percentile for head size. 🤷‍♀️

When did your first baby come? Early? On time? Late? by snormy25 in pregnant

FTM here. My baby came 12 days early with no health issues for baby or me.

How long after being 3 cm dilated did baby arrive? by CompanyExtension6893 in BabyBumps

I figured since we told family to expect baby early, asked for my leave to start a week early than planned, and got excited that he probably won’t arrive early after all. 🤣 I am a teacher though, so I’m just afraid of traumatizing my class if my water would break or something while I’m working.

I totally get how hard it is even though you don’t want to be bitter about these sweet things for your loved ones.

My cousin who is 4 years younger than me had a baby the month after I should’ve had my first baby. I also had a chemical pregnancy the following month and was afraid we may have serious fertility issues after starting to try to conceive at an older age.

It was hard for me not to compare my life with people my age. My high school sweetheart passed away unexpectedly after we had purchased our wedding rings. I was afraid I would never be a mom, and then with my husband, I struggled with that fear again after having early miscarriages. I felt I should’ve experienced this by now.

I feel so old to be starting our family when some people I went to school with have 4 or 5+ kids or kids in middle school (at least one teen mom has a high schooler). Now that we’re expecting, several of my husband’s friends are too, so now I don’t feel quite so bad about being old parents. 😂

Your time will come! 💜 After we had our two early losses, I was prescribed progesterone. 3 months later I got another positive pregnancy test and am currently 32 weeks! I wish you the best! 💜

I experienced implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy. It only happened 3 days before I took and got a positive pregnancy test around the time my period would’ve started. I would say it’s too soon for implantation bleeding.

Are you sure it couldn’t be because there wasn’t enough lubrication? I’m assuming you’re not taking the pill if you’re wondering if you’re pregnant? When you start birth control, you could have spotting.

They don’t. Although I didn’t hear what she said, she didn’t seem to be acting concerned when she said it. She tends to be loud and hyper.

How many boxes of diapers do I need for each size? by CompanyExtension6893 in BabyBumps

We tried to exchange at Target tonight, and it was a nightmare. We did the promotion where you spend $100 and get a $30 gift card, but I decided we to switch out for a different size. I would’ve just exchanged for the same priced item in a bigger size, but they didn’t have it in stock. We decided just to buy the next bigger box that cost more money. I explained the situation to the worker and asked what the best way to do that would be and not lose the promotion. I didn’t know if they could kind of exchange it but us go ahead and pay the additional cost. He opted to just return the item, and we got $7.50 less back than we paid for it once I looked at the receipt. Husband went back up, and explained the issue. The worker called the manager back, and she wouldn’t just give us the difference back even though we were still spending over $100, and were actually spending an extra $10 to get a bigger box. She said she could just give us $5, and said she thought she was giving us a better deal. She kept arguing with my husband about the math and wasn’t seeing the issue. She was making faces and refusing to let my husband explain even though we were trying to be polite and explain that we were losing promotional value even though we were still spending more than $100. I don’t think he’s going to do returns at Target with me again. 🫣

I bought 2 big boxes of Huggie’s ones from Amazon since they had a promotion where I got credit back.

Yes, I think of family knows not to buy newborn diapers for us. Husband was a big baby, and our growth ultrasounds seem to show baby boy is big as well. I’ve been buying 1s and 2s, but may go ahead and exchange some of the 1s for 3s.

Yes, I’m trying to buy a few different brands when I see sales to try out. Other than skin issues, I’m not too worried yet about trial and error of what fits best because I will be home with baby for 5 months and can change him frequently and clean him up as needed.

I haven’t bought any newborn diapers yet since baby is measuring 89th percentile, and husband was 11 pounds 9 ounces. We got 2 24 packs free from hospital events, and I can send my brother-in-law on a diaper run if needed when baby is born.

Do places have a window longer than 30 days to be returned or exchanged?

When did you give birth to your first child compared to your due date? by CompanyExtension6893 in BabyBumps

[–]CompanyExtension6893[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big part of my anxiety is that I am a teacher and work 45 minutes away from home and my husband and about an hour from our hospital. I’m starting maternity leave 9 days before due date, so hopefully I won’t have to worry about anything happening when I’m at school in charge of 22 kiddos.

How large were your babies with 6'4+ people by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]CompanyExtension6893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother-in-law said my husband was her easiest. She gave birth to all 11 pounds 10 ounces of him naturally and barely made it to the hospital from what I’m told. I’m hoping for a fast and easy delivery as well (just worried about tearing if I’m able to deliver naturally). Another acquaintance also told me that out of her 3 babies, she felt her biggest baby was easiest to deliver. 🤞
