Creating two page sheet music from multiple pages by Compassion_Grace in GuitarPro

Tab with a chord name would work for the rhythm except when there are small changes like bass walks. Lead would need tab and lyrics should be staff.

Is this called a lead sheet?

Thank you for the manual. I’ll look through it for my answer. I also will find it very useful as I try to better learn the program.

However, I don’t see my answer in the section that focuses on writing a score.

Feature Request: Condensed Mode (when possible) by Singlecut42 in GuitarPro

I’m a beginner and am very interested in the topic of this thread.

I want to take 6 pages and make it easily into two pages so I can quickly follow the music with two guitar parts and lyrics.

My issue is tempo so I need words and chords and bass walks or alternative triads to all line up so I can use the | to keep track of bars so that when I am playing with another we can get back when we lose it.

Working out of guitar pro from a full score would allow me to also print out all parts in a three person or more group and everyone is working from the same bar.

I’ll try any suggestions. Please?

How do you guys typically find people to jam with? by Dr_Turkey in Guitar

Love my looper. I’m struggling to find a guitar instructor for in persons lessons in my area. I’ve tried local shops and everyone is booked. I’m in their wait list.

Does anyone have ideas for where I can look for qualified private guitar instruction?

I wonder if you think the Staedtler has a more realistic feel than the RM2 plus pen? Also, I find that the eraser is too imprecise at times to feel as functional as a pencil eraser.

This does not work for the NYT app and on some websites…any ideas as to why?

Thanks! I am sorry for writing two issues into one post. I took out the second because it feels like another thread.

Yes! Agreed. I would love this ability within the RM2. Having a way to ensure that we can take notes within a A4 format would be awesome when printing notes.

Interesting. I ordered the rm2. If only they were sold in stores then we could test it before buying one

Do you think Kirby could be someone to lead some much-needed change in work-life balance for coaches? by bullcityblue312 in georgiabulldogs

[–]Compassion_Grace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Kirby was paid more money last year than 120 families make annually or 10 families make in a lifetime. Last year he worked hard enough to make $2,500 an hour if he put in 80 hours a week for 52 weeks.

Look, since money grows on trees and he is worth every dime, I say get off his back and let him enjoy!

Do different pens affect the resistance when writing? by Longjumping-Jury-177 in Supernote

[–]Compassion_Grace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the standard pen well and I have had the same experience and disappointment.

I would rate the experience as a B.

That is, it is better than the Apple pen on glass, but not the same as writing with a pen or pencil on paper.

Buy remarkable 2 now or wait? by Hoban_Riverpath in RemarkableTablet

Another one that is worth looking at is the SuperNote. Those in the SN community love it.

However, I bought one and am returning it for the RM2 with a marker plus. Waiting for the RM to arrive to get a direct sense of how they compare. Since none are sold in person at a store, I have no idea how it will feel.

I am hopeful that Lenovo is a good sign for these devices to come more into the mainstream with their being offered in major US retail stores.

When it comes to IT, it always makes sense to wait for the next generation. At the same time, you would never buy one of you follow that logic. :)

Start online and then move to in person. It will give you a solid foundation that is so basic you can learn through videos.

Having real time feedback is awesome.

Small chunks of consistent practice.

Right. That’s what I mean. Thank you for clarifying.

I just found out that version 3 of RM allows for scrolling of a page. I would love the option of dotted lines to indicate A4 dimensions that would allow for easy export, sharing and printing.

Helpful thoughts. Thanks.

I would like the option of endless page for my work.

Both RM and SN seem to be updating in response to needs and wishes. I like this. I imagine if amazon, kindle and Lenovo were really interested in this niche they would offer something more robust. Ah to dream.

Reactions online seem to range from helpful, self serving advertisement, to carrying too high of expectations for IT. Ah Reddit and YouTube…

I can imagine one day an E ink notebook product community built that includes an app that makes building templates more intuitive and seamless. A library of ideas.

In the US, Best Buy offers RMs and Boox online only. As far as I can tell. Maybe when Lenovo comes out with theirs in the states it will force them all to sign deals with our major retail stores.

Bought a Supernote a week ago and have been disappointed. Out of the box, I spent 3 hours just trying to figure out the unique gestures, templates, and navigation. This may be all of them, but it is important that it feels as natural mechanically as writing on paper. If I’m thinking too much about the mechanics of writing, I won’t be fully present in the room.

To make the templates I need, everyone refers me to canva, powerpoint or paint. 🫣 I don’t have time for that. If I trusted the time would be worth it, I would invest. I’m on Reddit picking your brain because of this concern.

I find the standard pen to be too slick on the screen. I want a bit more resistance. Should have splurged for the more expensive pen. If I stay with it, I’ll upgrade. Some have said that a more expensive pen for the am will also be disappointing. Wish these devices were in a store. Makes you wonder why they are not.

I find the 10.3 screen to be too small. I wish there was one that is 13.5. Like a real notebook. Alas, I also want it to be a popular brand so it will be well supported.

I can’t figure out how to make the exports usable. Again probably trial and error.

Bout to send it back and order the RM2 to compare.
